The Patient Predator is a multi-strategy Expert Advisor that trades 6 instruments from a single chart using price structure, trend alignment, and volatility-based filtering. It was built and validated over a full 5-year backtest window and forward-walk tested on out-of-sample data before release.
This is not a martingale, grid, or hedging EA. There is no averaging into losers, no recovery multiplier, and no hidden risk stacking. Every trade has a fixed, predefined stop loss and take profit. Position sizing is risk-based — each trade risks a set percentage of account balance, not a fixed lot that ignores your equity.

The strategies (two complementary engines)
**Engine 1 — Structure Pullback:** Identifies the prevailing trend using multi-timeframe price structure and trend-strength filtering, then waits for price to pull back into a significant support/resistance zone built from historical price commitment. Entry triggers only on a confirmed change-of-character on the lower timeframe — meaning the EA waits for evidence the pullback is ending and the trend is resuming before committing. This runs across all Forex pairs.
**Engine 2 — Volatility Squeeze Breakout:** A dedicated Gold strategy that detects periods of price compression and positions for the expansion that typically follows, but only in alignment with the higher-timeframe trend and long-term moving average. Filtered heavily to avoid low-volatility chop.
Both engines share a common risk core: daily loss limit, maximum concurrent trade cap, spread filtering, session filtering, a volatility-spike filter for JPY pairs, and an optional trailing stop on breakout trades. A correlation filter prevents the EA from doubling exposure when two pairs signal on the same candle.

This EA is **not** a money-printing machine, and any vendor who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. Here is what you should realistically expect:
- **Drawdowns are part of the system.** The backtest shows an 8.7% peak-to-trough drawdown, and live results may see periods of consecutive losses. If you cannot psychologically sit through a losing streak, automated trading is not for you.
- **It does not trade every day.** The filters are deliberately strict. You may see several quiet days with no trades. This is by design — the EA waits for quality setups rather than forcing activity. Silence is not a malfunction.
- **Gold trades are infrequent but larger.** The breakout engine may only fire a couple of times per month.
- **Results depend on your broker.** Spread, execution speed, and slippage materially affect outcomes. A broker with wide Gold spreads will see different results than the test broker.
- **No EA works forever unchanged.** Markets evolve. This EA has a real, tested edge as of release, but no automated strategy is immune to changing market regimes.
