Got it, the symbol I copying is GBPUSD-STD from MT4 to MT5 and that symbol is just GBPUSD. On mt4 the master account, I just the Symbol GBPUSD and suffix -std. On the receiver I input the account number of the master. Input the Symbol and suffix, but it still not working.

1 terminal master, other slaver. Did you do like this?

Unfortunately, all my blog posts and instruction articles were recently removed, including the one that contained the link you mentioned.
I’ve already contacted MQL5 support and I’m waiting for clarification.
If the materials cannot be restored, I’ll create a new article with the setup description.
Once everything is back or re-published, I’ll update the links here.

The answer was given to the client much earlier in a private message, I will duplicate it here so that it does not seem that I did not answer this question.

If the TradeScanner folder is empty, it means the EA did not manage to create/write the file (that’s exactly what error 5004 indicates).

Also please note: if you have multiple MT5 terminals, each one has its own Data Folder. Make sure you are checking the Master terminal’s Data Folder (the one where COPPY MASTER MT5 is running).

Troubleshooting (step by step)

  1. In the Master MT5 go to File → Open Data Folder

  2. Open: MQL5 → Files

  3. Create the folder manually: TradeScanner (if it doesn’t exist)

  4. Try to create a test file there (right click → New → Text Document).

    • If Windows doesn’t allow it → it’s a permissions/antivirus issue.

  5. Run MT5 as Administrator

  6. Avoid installing MT5 in Program Files. Лучше установить, например, в C:\MT5\

  7. Check Windows Defender / antivirus (including “Controlled folder access”) and add MT5 to exclusions.

There is no separate PDF at the moment, but the steps above cover this issue.

If it still happens, please post in the Comments section of the product page:

  • screenshot of File → Open Data Folder path

  • Experts + Journal logs from the moment the error appears

Hi!

I can add a custom order comment (it’s safe because it’s label and doesn’t affect copying).

I can’t override Magic Number right now because copied trades currently keep the master magic, and forcing a new magic may break trade matching/management for some setups.

Would you like me to add the comment option?

If yes, do you prefer a simple text (e.g. ‘CoppyMaster’) or include the master ticket/id (e.g. ‘CM|m=123456’)?
