What is grid trading?

I am not a grid EA fan at all. But I must admit, I have done more with this 30 bucks EA than with any other one. It's solid, predictable and reliable. No magic wonders here, but a powerful tool to design a strategy and deploy it wihout any fuss. I also have the strategy builder from the same author. But it like this one more. Simple enough yet effective. I'd buy it again if I had to!

Things that don't work (after just one hour of testing, e.g. AUDUSD) - the "Continuous Initial Trade" function doesn't work with pending orders. I have it set to "False" and after the grid is closed, a new pending order opens immediately. Extremely dangerous bug and exclusion criterion for using this EA. For me, this is completely incomprehensible. This EA is 7 years old and neither the author nor any user noticed what I did after 60 minutes? - The one-click buttons don't work. At least not with set initial pending order. If I press "close all", nothing happens. - The fact that there is a very detailed user manual is commendable. Unfortunately, there are only visual examples of the TP calculations. A few screenshots using the example of an SL calculation would be nice. But that's just a side note. - I suspect that there are more bugs in this EA, but I don't need to check that today, as the EA is unusable for my strategy due to the first error mentioned. As soon as the author has published a working update, I will also update my rating

Been trying out Cap Universal Grid EA. I've switch on Heiken ashi, also using additional filters Day and Week. Added Heiken Ashi smooth indicator to chart. It seems not to be working correctly, the smooth indicator clearly shows day and week are up trend yet the EA places a sell trade.

I think this is the best grid Ea in the market. This Ea is very complex therefor was some bugs in it, but glad for updates will be better and better

Bug in the software!

"Grid Spacing in Points" does not work all the time. Sometime for no reason the Grid spacing is much smaller then what you have set to. Very dangerous because of that. Example: I enter 300 in the Grid Spacing in Points field, but sometime live trading it will create Grid that is much smaller than 300. Sometime it's like 50 instead of 300 pips. Must fix. You should add a minimum grid spacing field!

This EA would be perfect if it has a “Grid_GAP” (minimum gap) field.

Looks very promising on backtest. Many possibilities in configuration and optimizing in logical settings structure. Very good work and best Grid EA in marked I think. Running on Demo 17 pairs for 1 day till now. I will update review after longer running period.
