📖 Deriv Grid B&C – Official Setup & Strategy Guide
Welcome to the official setup guide for Deriv Grid B&C. This system utilizes a
highly effective Grid-Recovery algorithm. When a trade goes into negative
floating, the EA opens staggered positions at multiplied lot sizes (x2) to
ensure that even a small market pullback closes the entire grid in profit.
Because this strategy uses a multiplier, using the correct Start Lot, Max Lot,
and Grid Step is the difference between consistent daily profits and risking
your account.

⚠️ CRUCIAL: The "Point" Rule
In the EA settings, grid distances and targets are calculated in Points
(GridStep, TakeProfit, MinProfit), not standard Pips.
- On Exness (Forex/Gold): 10 points = 1 standard Pip. (e.g., 300 Grid Step
= 30 Pips).
- On Deriv (Synthetics): Point values scale very differently depending on the
specific index.
Always run the EA on a Demo account for 24 hours when testing a new pair to
verify the grid spacing!
📈 1. EXNESS SETTINGS (Standard or Cent Accounts)
Minimum recommended balance: $500 for Standard Accounts, or $50 for Cent
Accounts.
🥇 Gold (XAUUSD) - High Volatility
Gold moves fast. You need a wide grid so that a sudden $5 drop doesn't trigger
multiple doubled lot sizes at once.
- Start Lots: 0.01
- Max Lots: 0.50 (Sequence: 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.08, 0.16, 0.32, 0.50)
- Grid Step: 400 to 500 (40 to 50 pips. Prevents cluster-opening during heavy
drops).
- Take Profit: 300 (30 pips)
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 150 (15 pips)
💶 Major Forex Pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD) - Medium Volatility
Forex pairs trend slower and range more frequently, making them perfect for grid
trading. You can afford a tighter grid here.
- Start Lots: 0.01
- Max Lots: 0.50
- Grid Step: 250 to 300 (25 to 30 pips)
- Take Profit: 200 (20 pips)
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 100 (10 pips)
💥 2. DERIV SETTINGS (Synthetic Indices)
Deriv requires different setups because minimum lot sizes and point scales
change per asset. Minimum recommended balance: $300.
🌪️ Volatility 75 Index (V75) - Extreme Volatility
V75 moves thousands of points in seconds. You MUST use the absolute minimum lot
size allowed, and your Grid Step must be massive.
- Start Lots: 0.001 (Absolute minimum allowed)
- Max Lots: 0.05 (Sequence: 0.001, 0.002, 0.004, 0.008, 0.016, 0.032, 0.05)
- Grid Step: 5000 to 8000 (Do not use small grid steps here!)
- Take Profit: 3000
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 1000
📉 Boom 1000 & Crash 1000 - Spike Danger
Note: Because Deriv's minimum lot here is 0.20, the multiplier scales up quickly
(0.20, 0.40, 0.80, 1.60). Ensure your account has enough margin.
- Start Lots: 0.20 (Minimum allowed)
- Max Lots: 3.00
- Grid Step: 1500 to 2500 (Wide enough to survive normal 15-tick spikes)
- Take Profit: 1000
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 400
🚶 Step Index - Steady & Rhythmic
Step Index is excellent for Grid algorithms because the volatility is
mathematical and ranges often.
- Start Lots: 0.10 (Minimum allowed)
- Max Lots: 1.50 (Sequence: 0.10, 0.20, 0.40, 0.80, 1.50)
- Grid Step: 100 to 150
- Take Profit: 80
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 40
🦘 Jump Indices (Jump 10, 25, 50, 75, 100)
Jump indices simulate market gaps. A medium grid size is required to accommodate
these simulated jumps without triggering too many trades.
- Start Lots: 0.01 (Minimum allowed)
- Max Lots: 0.50
- Grid Step: 1000 to 1500
- Take Profit: 800
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 300
📊 Volatility 10 / 25 / 50
These markets have higher minimum lot requirements (e.g., V10 requires 0.30, V25
requires 0.50). You must cap the Max Lot to protect your equity.
- Start Lots: Use Deriv's minimum for the specific index (e.g., 0.50 for V25).
- Max Lots: 4.00 (Sequence: 0.50, 1.00, 2.00, 4.00)
- Grid Step: 500 to 1000
- Take Profit: 400
- Min Profit (Grid Close): 200

- UseMaxDrawdown: true
- MaxDrawdown: $150.0 (If floating drawdown hits this number, the EA pauses
opening NEW grid levels, preventing Margin Calls, while waiting for the
market to reverse).
💡 Top 3 Pro-Tips for Success
1. Low Capital? Use a Cent Account! If you want to trade Forex or Gold but only
have $100 to start, DO NOT use a Standard Account. Open an Exness Cent
Account. Your $100 will display as 10,000 cents. A 0.01 Cent lot allows the
Grid EA to survive massive market swings with zero stress.
2. Use High Leverage: Because the EA multiplies lot sizes, margin requirements
increase. Use a minimum of 1:500 leverage (1:1000 or Unlimited is ideal).
This prevents your broker from stopping you from opening recovery trades.
3. Use a VPS: Grid trading requires 24/5 (or 24/7 for Deriv) uptime. Always run
this EA on a Virtual Private Server (VPS) so it never misses a grid step or
a Take Profit closure.
