Hi, thanks for this free EA, I enabled the sells in the settings file, but when I ran a 6-month backtest I didn't see a single sell. Is that normal?

Yes, this is normal behavior for this EA. The EA uses an indicator-based filter: BUY when EMA50 is above EMA200, and SELL when EMA50 is below EMA200. Over the past year, gold has been in a strong bullish (rocket-like) trend, so the SELL condition was never met. As a result, the EA did not open any sell positions.

NOTE! Based on backtests, I found better trading results with the following setup: D1/H4/H2 (Trend/ADX/ATR & trade). The SET file can be downloaded here … bohemia_gold_d1_h4_h2.zip,  or alternatively change the setting “Market Entry position (Volatility by ATR for SL) = H2”.
