On the daily chart of currency pairs i do not see such a picture, which is presented in description, or are the rectangles drawn only for demonstration purposes?

The rectangles are actually drawn for illustration purposes. You are free to choose only periods of "strong trend" in dark color, or to choose for example to enter into a strong buying trend (dark green) then to stay on this trend (light green) until it reverses. .

is there any way for me to increase the number of bars that the indicator uses. It goes to 2000 bars and i would like to be able to increase that number so i can use it for backtesting
