1. Overview

Gold Tiger Portfolio is a fully automatic Expert Advisor (EA) for GOLD (XAUUSD) on MetaTrader 5. It combines four independent strategy groups in one file: a multi-timeframe swing-trend system (EA No.26), a price-action system (EA No.27), a daily Donchian breakout system (EA No.28) and an eight-slot momentum continuation combo (EA No.29).

Each group has its own Magic numbers, risk % and drawdown control, measured on that group's own profit curve. If one group reaches its limit it pauses by itself; the other groups keep trading. Every trade has a stop loss.

2. Key features

·         4 strategies, one chart — diversification across logic and timeframes (M30 to D1).

·         Separate drawdown control per group (kill-switch, rest period or de-risk).

·         Stop loss on every position; daily 3% / weekly 6% loss stop in the Donchian group; spread filters.

·         No martingale, no grid, no averaging down.

·         Single .ex5 file, no .set file. Dashboard on the chart shows each group and a 12-month P&L chart.

·         Gold only (the EA refuses other symbols on live/demo charts).

Recommended balance: $5,000 or more (max equity DD 15.2–15.5%). Minimum about $2,000 (DD 14.2%). At $1,000 the test DD was 24% and at $500 it was 58%.

3. Requirements and installation

·         MetaTrader 5, symbol GOLD / XAUUSD, any chart timeframe.

·         Hedging account required; low-spread broker; leverage 1:500 used in tests.

·         VPS or PC online 24/5.

·         Optional: allow WebRequest for https://fred.stlouisfed.org (Tools → Options → Expert Advisors) to keep the Real Yield filter updated.

Installation: (1) MT5 → File → Open Data Folder → MQL5\Experts. (2) Copy the .ex5 file there and restart MT5 or refresh Navigator. (3) Open a GOLD chart (any timeframe) and drag the EA onto it. (4) Tick Allow Algo Trading and enable the Algo Trading button. (5) Check that the dashboard shows the 4 groups and “Running”.

4. Important limitations — please read

·         In-sample results. The component strategies were selected on historical gold data, so the combined backtest is in-sample. No forward test of EA No.30 has been completed.

·         Profit is back-loaded: most came in 2020 and 2024–2026. Do not expect the same every year.

·         Win rate is only about 44%; the edge comes from winners averaging about 2.6× the losers. Losing streaks of 17 trades occurred in the test.

·         Max equity drawdown 15.2–15.5% in the test at $5,000+; real drawdown can be larger.

·         Not suitable for accounts below about $2,000, netting accounts, or brokers with very high spread/commission.

·         Gold only. Do not run EA No.26–29 together with EA No.30 on the same account.

5. FAQ

Does it need settings? No — defaults are built in.

Which timeframe do I attach it to? Any; each signal reads its own timeframe. One chart is enough — do not attach it twice to the same account.

Can I change the risk? Yes, per group in the inputs. Higher risk increases both profit and drawdown.
