Gold Impulse Drive is an automated XAUUSD trading system built around Fast Stochastic momentum signals, broader trend direction and adaptive market protection.

Fast Stochastic Momentum Trading
Gold can move quickly, making entry timing especially important.
Gold Impulse Drive uses a Fast Stochastic entry system designed to identify short-term momentum shifts as Gold moves away from stretched market conditions.
These fast signals are combined with a broader EMA trend and slope direction, helping the EA focus on opportunities that are supported by the wider market movement.
This combination allows the entry system to remain responsive while maintaining a broader view of Gold's direction.
Adaptive Spread Protection
Gold spreads can change dramatically as market conditions change. A spread limit that works today may not be appropriate tomorrow.
Gold Impulse Drive's Adaptive Spread Protection is designed to continuously evaluate current execution conditions and adjust its understanding of what is normal for the market.
Rather than simply displaying a spread number, the system can identify unusual spread expansion and react accordingly before allowing new setups.
The new Spread Diagnostic panel takes this even further, providing a collapsible historical view of spread behaviour directly on the chart.
You can visually see how spread conditions have developed over time, how the adaptive protection responds, and when abnormal conditions occur.
This provides a unique window into one of Gold Impulse Drive's most important protection systems without cluttering the main trading panel.
Candle Trailing Stop
Gold Impulse Drive includes an optional candle-based trailing stop.
When enabled, the EA progressively follows favourable price movement using completed candles while ensuring the protective stop only moves forward.
This provides an alternative way to manage winning positions while giving Gold room to continue moving.
Advanced Economic News Protection
Gold Impulse Drive includes an integrated economic news system with multiple data-source options.
The native MetaTrader 5 Economic Calendar is the default, requiring no additional WebRequest configuration.
An external economic calendar source is also available, together with an automatic fallback mode for additional resilience.
News management is integrated directly into the Gold Impulse Drive dashboard. From the panel you can quickly:
- Enable or disable news protection
- Switch between Native and External news sources
- Open or collapse the upcoming News Events window
- See upcoming events, impact levels and countdowns at a glance
High, Medium and Low impact events can be configured according to your preferred trading restrictions.
External News Source
If you choose the External news source, enable WebRequest in:
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL
Add:
No WebRequest configuration is required when using the default native MT5 Calendar.
Risk Management
Gold Impulse Drive supports both Fixed Lot and Risk Percentage position sizing, allowing the EA to be configured according to different account sizes and risk preferences.
Additional safeguards monitor exposure, available margin, trading conditions and configured trading periods before new positions are allowed.
Trading Firm Protection
Gold Impulse Drive includes an optional Trading Firm Protection system designed for traders operating under stricter account and risk-management rules.
The system can monitor daily losses, overall drawdown, trading activity, consecutive losses and open exposure, while configurable trading and closing times provide additional control over when positions may be opened or held.
When a defined protection level is reached, Gold Impulse Drive can automatically stop opening new trades or protect the account by closing its positions and suspending further trading, depending on the selected settings.
Daily profit protection and dedicated Friday controls provide additional flexibility for traders who need to operate within structured trading conditions.
The Trading Firm Protection status is integrated into the EA dashboard, providing clear visibility of current limits and remaining daily risk.
All protections are optional and configurable, allowing Gold Impulse Drive to be adapted to different trading-firm requirements without changing its underlying trading strategy.
