TARA_Forex Individual Timeframe Market Structure Indicator
Trade the Active Structure, Not the Noise
TARA_Forex Individual Timeframe Market Structure Indicator is a dedicated single-timeframe price-action analysis tool that identifies Higher Highs (HH), Higher Lows (HL), Lower Highs (LH), Lower Lows (LL), Change of Character (CHOCH), Break of Structure (BOS), Market Ownership, and Market State.
The indicator focuses on market structure itself rather than relying on traditional lagging indicators such as moving averages or oscillators. It continuously evaluates price behavior to provide traders with a clear and organized view of how market structure is developing, where structural changes are occurring, and which side currently holds market ownership.
The indicator identifies and displays the essential components of price structure, including:
Higher High (HH)
Higher Low (HL)
Lower High (LH)
Lower Low (LL)
Change of Character (CHOCH)
Break of Structure (BOS)
Market Ownership
Market State
Active Structural Events
Historical Structural Cycles
Adjustable Swing Size
Each edition is hard-locked to its designated timeframe and includes an adjustable Swing Size and historical structural-cycle visualization. The indicator focuses on active price structure rather than traditional lagging indicators, providing traders with a clear view of structural direction, shifts, breaks, ranging conditions, and exhaustion.
Market structure can appear differently depending on the sensitivity used to identify meaningful swings.
For this reason, each TARA_Forex Individual Timeframe Indicator includes an adjustable Swing Size directly on the chart.
For example:
Swing Size : [−] 3 [+]
A smaller Swing Size increases structural sensitivity and can identify more localized price swings.
A larger Swing Size filters smaller movements and emphasizes broader structural formations.
When Swing Size is changed, the indicator recalculates the structure so that the displayed HH, HL, LH, LL, CHOCH, BOS, Market Ownership, and Market State remain based on the selected structural sensitivity.
This allows traders to adjust the structural view without changing the indicator’s underlying methodology.
Market Ownership identifies which side currently controls the established structure. Bullish Ownership indicates that buyers hold structural control, while Bearish Ownership indicates that sellers hold structural control. Ownership is determined through confirmed structural progression rather than short-term candle movement alone.
The Market State provides additional context about what is happening within that ownership:
Bullish Shift / Bearish Shift — indicates a meaningful change in market character challenging the previous structural direction.
Bullish Break / Bearish Break — indicates confirmed structural continuation in the direction of the established market ownership.
Ranging — indicates that price currently lacks a clear directional structural progression.
Exhaustion — indicates that the existing structural progression is showing signs of weakening or losing continuation strength.
Together, Market Ownership, Market State, CHOCH, BOS, and the active HH/HL/LH/LL structure provide a structured view of what price is actually doing, helping traders distinguish between structural continuation, structural change, consolidation, and weakening momentum.
