A volatile week for cocoa futures has just passed, with prices failing to hold the lower channel line. Now its approaching the 1.61 Fib extended channel line, accompanied by a bullish bat formation with structural integrity amplified by an 1.61 AB=CD. This is a textbook harmonic setup on the weekly scale, however the large temporal ratio of the X-B to the B-D segment suggests to employ some caution. Perhaps the price will reverse over Christmas to start next year on a fresh rally.

An interesting opportunity in the futures market: Cocoa, bouncing off the lower channel line and 161.8 Fib-extension. The RSI is oversold and there is a hefty gap to fill. It can be a bit early for a long-term position, but a pullback after such a drop is what I'm expecting.

Copper prices rose last night, only to be followed by significant profit taking just above the 38.2 fib retracement. It is interesting to note that this happened before the 61.8 retracement which coincides with the monthly pivot. A further rally up to this point would have to be demand driven and if that fails prices may fall to test the monthly S1. This would be an excellent opportunity to replenish bullish positions.
