Kiwi MA Bot MT5 is a free automated trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that combines a Moving Average based seed-entry engine with the Kiwi Smart Grid Basket Manager.
The concept is simple: Moving Average filters identify potential BUY or SELL seed opportunities. Once a seed position is active, the integrated grid manager can manage the basket according to the selected grid distance, multiplier, maximum orders and basket profit target.
Unlike a traditional grid manager that requires the trader to manually open the first position, Kiwi MA Bot includes two ways to start a basket: automatic MA seed entries or manual seed trades.
Moving Average Seed Engine
The automatic seed engine is built around Moving Average analysis.
It can combine different MA calculations and higher-timeframe confirmation to determine market direction before allowing a new automatic seed position.
The MA architecture supports:
- Simple Moving Average — SMA
- Exponential Moving Average — EMA
- Smoothed Moving Average — SMMA
- Linear Weighted Moving Average — LWMA
- Hybrid MA confirmation

The internal strategy is designed primarily for XAUUSD / Gold, with its signal calculations independent from the chart timeframe where appropriate.

This makes it easy to change the strategy without manually adjusting numerous technical parameters.
Auto Seed + Manual Seed
Kiwi MA Bot is more than an automatic entry EA.
When AUTO SEED is enabled, the MA engine can automatically create new seed positions.
Traders can also use a manual BUY or SELL trade as the seed, allowing the Smart Grid Manager to take over basket management.
This provides two different workflows in one EA:
Automatic: MA Signal → Seed Trade → Grid Management → Basket Exit
Manual: Trader Opens Position → Grid Management → Basket Exit
Smart Grid Basket Manager
After a valid basket has started, Kiwi MA Bot can automatically manage additional grid positions.
The interactive dashboard provides control over important grid settings including:
- Maximum grid orders
- Grid distance
- Lot multiplier
- BUY / SELL / BOTH direction
- Money-based basket exit
- Scaled basket profit target
- Pause grid control
- Apply Settings button
A multiplier of 1.00 maintains fixed-size grid positions. Values above 1.00 progressively increase exposure and therefore increase risk.
Independent BUY & SELL Baskets
BUY and SELL positions are monitored separately.
The dashboard displays information including:
- Basket order count
- Total basket lots
- Basket profit/loss
- Basket break-even
- Next grid level
- Basket target
Separate CLOSE BUY BASKET, CLOSE SELL BASKET and CLOSE ALL controls provide direct manual management from the chart.
Scaled Money Target
The money target can scale according to the original seed lot rather than remaining a fixed target regardless of position size.
For example, a target specified per 0.01 seed lot can automatically scale when a larger seed position starts the basket.
This provides more consistent basket-target behavior across different seed sizes.
Risk & Drawdown Protection
Grid trading can create significant exposure when price continues strongly against an active basket. Kiwi MA Bot therefore includes integrated safety controls.

You can see the current entry profile, seed mode, basket status, grid configuration, profit/loss, drawdown and safety information directly on the chart.

The EA should be tested on a demo account first using your broker's Gold contract specifications, spread and execution conditions before considering live trading.
Important Risk Warning
Kiwi MA Bot uses grid-based trade management. Grid strategies can accumulate multiple positions and significant floating drawdown during prolonged directional market movements.
Increasing the lot multiplier, reducing grid distance, increasing maximum orders or using larger seed lots can substantially increase account exposure.
