Gold Box Breakout

Gold Box Breakout is an automated H1/M15 breakout strategy built around a single daily "box". Each trading day, the EA measures the High/Low of a specific H1 candle (by default, the 3rd candle of the day) and uses that range as a breakout level. When an M15 candle closes above the box top, the EA opens a Buy. When an M15 candle closes below the box bottom, it opens a Sell. Only one trade per symbol is taken per day.

Key Features

• Daily box from a chosen H1 candle - select which candle of the day (by index) defines the breakout range.
• GMT-based day start with auto offset detection - the day-start hour is set in GMT/UTC, and the broker's server time offset is detected automatically, so the same setting behaves consistently across different brokers/accounts.
• M15 breakout entry - waits for a confirmed M15 candle close beyond the box, avoiding intrabar noise.
• Fixed Risk:Reward exit - Stop Loss is set at the opposite side of the box; Take Profit is calculated from a configurable Risk:Reward ratio.
• One trade per day - after a trade is opened (win, loss, or still running), the EA will not open another position on that symbol until the next trading day.
• Optional lot increase after consecutive stop-losses - after a configurable number of consecutive SL hits, lot size increases by a fixed step, up to a configurable maximum number of steps, then resets back to the base lot. Disabled by default.
• Spread filter - optionally skip trades when the current spread exceeds a configured limit.
• On-chart visual tools - draws the box, the candle's High/Low levels, and numbered labels on each H1 candle of the day so you can visually verify the candle-counting logic.
• Live status panel - an on-chart comment shows the detected broker GMT offset, the resulting day-start time, and current box status at a glance.

Inputs

Box Setting

• InpDayStartHourGMT - Day start hour in GMT/UTC (0-23). The broker's own GMT offset is auto-detected.
• InpCandleIndexOfDay - Which H1 candle of the day is used to build the box (0 = first candle of the day).
• InpShowCandleLabels - Show number labels (1, 2, 3...) above each H1 candle of the day.
• InpDrawBox - Draw the box rectangle and level lines on the chart.

Trade Setting

• InpLot - Base lot size.
• InpRiskReward - Take Profit to Stop Loss ratio (e.g. 2.0 = 1:2).
• InpMagic - Magic number.
• InpDeviation - Allowed slippage, in points.
• InpMaxSpreadPoints - Maximum allowed spread in points before skipping a trade (0 = filter off).

SL Lot Increase (optional)

• InpUseSLLotIncrease - Enable/disable the lot-increase-after-SL feature.
• InpSLHitsToIncrease - Number of consecutive stop-loss hits required to trigger a lot increase.
• InpLotIncreaseStep - Lot size added at each increase step.
• InpMaxIncreaseSteps - Maximum number of increase steps before the lot resets to the base size.

Recommended Setup

• Minimum recommended capital: $1000, using a base lot size of 0.01.
• Designed and tested for Gold (XAUUSD), but can be attached to other symbols.
• Can be attached to any chart timeframe (e.g. M15) - the EA reads H1 and M15 data internally regardless of the chart's own period, so it does not need to be attached to an H1 chart specifically.
• Always test on a demo account first and adjust the inputs to fit your broker's spread, StopsLevel, and trading hours before using on a live account.

Risk Warning

This EA can optionally increase position size after consecutive stop-loss hits (a martingale-style money management option, disabled by default). This can increase both potential returns and potential drawdown. The minimum capital and lot size above are a starting-point suggestion, not a guarantee against loss - position size should always be adjusted to your own risk tolerance and account size.
