Leverage: Strategy is risk-based (% of equity per trade), not lot-based. Works on any leverage from 1:30 (regulated EU brokers) up to 1:1000 (offshore high-leverage accounts). Higher leverage does NOT increase risk per trade — it just means margin uses less of your equity.

Broker compatibility: Auto-detects symbol-name variants across IC Markets, Pepperstone, Exness, Darwinex, FBS, RoboForex, and most major brokers — no configuration needed.

Account types: Hedging required (MT5 default). Both real and prop firm accounts (FTMO, FundedNext, MyForexFunds, etc.) work — verify the prop firm allows EAs and trend-following strategies.

🔄 Restart Recovery

A real EA needs to survive MT5 restarts. Tradewind does:

✅ Existing positions are scanned on startup and re-tracked. Trail stops resume. ✅ Per-symbol cool-down is reconstructed from open position open times. ✅ Peak equity is persisted to file, so the kill switch survives restarts during a drawdown.

Crash, reboot, broker disconnect — the strategy picks up where it left off, with state intact.
