Hello again, everyone. In addition to the previous post, I want to provide more detailed information about the importance of having historical data for the indicator to function properly. In my numerous articles about the indicator and its application in trading, I apparently did not emphasize this point as much as I should have.

Meanwhile, the lack of historical data can hinder accurate calculations and the display of results on the price chart.

In the settings of the Scalper Inside Pro indicator, you can find the parameter 'History Bars for Calculation.' This parameter tells the indicator on how many bars in history to perform the calculation:

What is this parameter for? Since the indicator performs numerous calculations, and given that MetaTrader 4 uses only a single processor core for its operations, a large number of calculations can put a strain on your computer. 

Therefore, by limiting the number of bars for calculation, we instruct the indicator's algorithms to perform calculations on no more than 10,000 bars back. 

You can experiment with this parameter by decreasing or increasing it. However, I recommend sticking to a value of 10,000 bars for the M5 timeframe, give or take a little. This recommendation is even present on the indicator's panel – M5 Bars Recommend: 10,000.

Meanwhile, in the "Bars Total" field, we can see how many bars are actually available in history for calculations. In the "Bars Used" field, we can see how many bars the indicator has used. 

However, regardless of the number of bars set in this variable, it is advisable to load slightly more history into the terminal to have a buffer. If there are not enough bars, the indicator will automatically limit the "Bars Used" parameter to slightly less than what is available in "Bars Total." 

However, this can cause issues with data display, such as the effect of missing signals, etc. This can be "fixed" by switching timeframes, as this will load the necessary minimum history. When you switch back to your working timeframe, you will then see the signals appearing. 

Therefore, if when starting the terminal you see that the "Bars Total" field shows the minimum possible number of bars around 2058 (on the M5 timeframe), I recommend loading more historical data to bring the "Bars Total" parameter to at least 10,000-12,000 bars.

To ultimately see something like this:

I am currently working intensively on the optimization module for Strategy #3. I have to conduct many tests and adjustments since Strategy #3 is very different from Strategy #1 (for which the optimizer has been integrated into the indicator for quite some time).

Honestly, some time ago, I thought that an integrated optimizer for Strategy #3 was almost impossible due to certain technical aspects. But now, I am happy to say that we have made it work, and the optimizer for Strategy #3 will be available in the new v6.5:

The point is that previously, some "complicated" financial assets were extremely difficult to set up manually due to Strategy #3's dependency on market volatility and a number of other factors. The main thing is to avoid running simultaneous optimization on multiple financial assets. Regarding accounting in pips - I have put this idea on hold for now. I haven't completely ruled it out, but I have set it aside for further consideration. Now I will try to explain why. 

After a series of experiments, I realized that calculating in pips is not very convenient in this case. After all, this is an indicator, not an EA, which means it still requires manual analysis. An indicator cannot completely replace an EA. As for the MT4 version of the indicator, I believe that manual trading with consideration of strong levels from higher timeframes is still more preferable. Moreover, the MetaTrader 4 version is already quite complex in terms of code and numerous internal calculations. As you know, the MetaTrader 4 terminal uses the power of only one processor core, regardless of how many cores are present in the system. This is unlike MetaTrader 5, where all processor cores are used in calculations, allowing more to be done than in MetaTrader 4. All this requires thorough analysis, calculations, and optimization, which I am currently working on. 

Returning to the idea of pips, I should mention numerous nuances and complexities. For example, the floating spread – sometimes it is wider, sometimes narrower. Even the classic EURUSD sometimes fluctuates from 5 to 20 points, which only complicates calculations and can confuse statistics. In this case, a much more appropriate solution would be to use strong levels from higher timeframes, which I have repeatedly mentioned in my manuals and instructions for the indicator. We simply close the position manually, using the current spread and the current market situation – for example, if a strong level is near or important news is about to be released. Here are a few old examples that accurately reflect the point:

So, somewhere you will get a bit less, and somewhere you will take a bit more pips.

Use strong levels – they will help adjust your targets or strengthen your expectation of reaching a specific level.
