Aussie Boomerang – AUDCAD Mean-Reversion Grid EA

Throw it out, and it comes back.

AUDCAD is one of the most range-bound major crosses. Australia and Canada are both commodity-driven economies, so their currencies often move together, and the pair keeps stretching away from its average and returning. Aussie Boomerang is a fully automated Expert Advisor that waits for those stretches and trades the return. It has strict limits on how far a bad move can go.

HOW IT WORKS

◆ Selective entries: a trade opens only when price closes outside the Bollinger Bands with RSI at an extreme, and an ADX filter confirms the market is ranging, not trending.
◆ Volatility-based grid: if price keeps moving against a group of positions, new ones are added at gaps set by ATR, and each gap is wider than the last.
◆ Gentle recovery: each added position is only a little larger than the one before, using a small multiplier rather than aggressive doubling.
◆ Basket exit: all positions in a group close together at one profit target, measured from their average entry price.

PROTECTION

◆ Basket stop loss: closes a losing group before the damage spreads to the rest of the account
◆ Account drawdown stop, followed by an automatic cool-down before trading resumes
◆ Weekend shield: closes losing groups on Friday night so they aren’t exposed to the Monday gap
◆ Margin cap: won’t open positions that push margin use above your limit
◆ Stops adding positions once a group’s loss passes a set level
◆ Optional daily trend filter
◆ Spread, session and Friday-afternoon filters
◆ Cap on any single trade’s size, plus free-margin and volume checks before every order

SIMPLE SETUP

Choose one of four risk levels and Aussie Boomerang configures itself:

▸ Low: 0.01 lot per $2,000, ×1.20 multiplier, up to 8 positions
▸ Medium: 0.01 lot per $1,000, ×1.30 multiplier, up to 10 positions
▸ High: 0.01 lot per $500, ×1.40 multiplier, up to 12 positions
▸ Extreme: 0.01 lot per $250, ×1.50 multiplier, up to 14 positions

Custom mode lets advanced users adjust every parameter.

▸ Account: hedging (on netting accounts it runs single-position mode, with no grid)
▸ Recommended broker: low-spread ECN or Raw account

RECOMMENDED USE

Attach the EA to one AUDCAD M5 chart, choose a risk level and leave the protection settings on. Before going live, run a Strategy Tester backtest using “Every tick based on real ticks”, then run it on a demo account.

Aussie Boomerang uses grid trading and increases lot sizes after losses. In a strong one-way trend, positions can build up and the protections will close them at a loss.
