Trading Sessions Box MT5
- Indicatori
- Versione: 1.0
See the Tokyo, London and New York sessions (and Sydney) as boxes on your chart, with the high, low and range of each session. Summer time of every city is handled automatically. Free indicator, works on forex, gold, indices and any other symbol.
Many trading plans depend on the session: the Asian range, the London breakout, the London and New York overlap. Trading Sessions Box draws each session where it really happened on your broker's chart, so you do not have to calculate time zones or summer time again.
HOW IT WORKS
- You enter each session in the local time of its city, for example London 08:00 to 17:00 London time.
- The indicator converts these times to your broker's server time. The broker's GMT offset is found automatically.
- Summer time (DST) is applied for each city with its own rules: Europe, the USA and Australia change on different dates, and Tokyo has no summer time. The boxes move by themselves when the clocks change.
- For each session of the last days, it draws a box from the session open to the session close, from the session high to the session low.
- Above each box you see the session name and its range, in pips for forex and in price for gold, indices and other symbols.
- In a corner of the chart, a live status shows which session is open now and when the next one starts.
FEATURES
- 4 sessions: Sydney (off by default), Tokyo, London and New York, each with its own open time, close time and color
- Automatic summer time for Europe, the USA and Australia
- Automatic broker GMT offset, or set it by hand
- Session high, low and range on every box
- Live status: "London: OPEN, closes in 4h 47m", "New York: opens in 47m"
- Overlaps of two sessions (for example London and New York) are shown in a mixed color
- Filled boxes or borders only, number of days to show
- Hidden on higher timeframes (above H1 by default), so your H4 and daily charts stay clean
WHO IT IS FOR
- Day traders and scalpers who trade the London or New York session
- Breakout traders who use the Asian (Tokyo) range
- Gold and index traders who want to see where the active hours start
SETUP
- Drag Trading Sessions Box MT5 from the Indicators list onto a chart (M1 to H1).
- Keep the default settings, or change sessions, colors and days in the Inputs tab, then press OK.
INPUTS
- Show Sydney / Tokyo / London / New York: turn each session on or off
- Opens / closes: session times in the local time of the city (HH:MM)
- Color: one color per session
- Days to show: number of past trading days with boxes (10 by default)
- Fill the boxes: filled boxes or borders only
- Show session name and range
- Show live status / Status corner
- Hide on timeframes above: H1 by default
- Broker server GMT offset in hours: 99 = automatic, or a number such as 2
NOTES
- The automatic GMT offset needs a live connection. In the Strategy Tester, set the broker GMT offset by hand (for example 2).
- The automatic offset uses the broker's current offset. For days before the broker changed its own clock, a box can be shifted by one hour.
- The indicator only draws on the chart. It does not open, change or close any trade.
