CodeX Aurex is an automated Expert Advisor developed primarily for Gold (XAUUSD) trading on the MetaTrader 5 platform.
The system combines two independently configured trading engines based on price structure, swing levels and pending-order execution. Each engine has its own entry conditions, protective levels and trade-management parameters.
CodeX Aurex is designed to evaluate potential breakout opportunities while controlling order placement, position exposure and trading sessions.
The strategy uses fixed stop-loss and take-profit levels, trailing-stop management and configurable risk settings. It does not rely on martingale lot multiplication or a grid recovery system.
How CodeX Aurex Works
The Expert Advisor analyses historical price structures and identifies potential breakout levels using swing-based market analysis.
When the configured entry conditions are satisfied, the EA can place Buy Stop or Sell Stop pending orders. Once an order is executed, the position is managed according to the selected stop-loss, take-profit and trailing-stop rules.
The system includes two trading components.
1. Scalper Engine – M15
The Scalper engine uses the M15 timeframe for its internal price-structure calculations. It focuses on breakout setups with its own swing depth, entry offset, protective distances and pending-order expiration rules.
2. Positive RR Engine – M30
The Positive RR engine uses the M30 timeframe and operates with a separate configuration of entry distances, protective levels and trailing-stop management.
The two engines are designed to evaluate different trading opportunities rather than simply duplicate the same entry signal.
Hedging and Netting Account Support
CodeX Aurex v1.22 supports both MT5 account models, with different operating behavior.
Hedging accounts: both the M15 Scalper and M30 Positive RR engines can operate, with independent strategy identification and order management.
Netting accounts: the EA uses the M15 Scalper engine only. The second engine is disabled to avoid conflicting position management on accounts where positions are aggregated by symbol.
Netting mode also applies symbol-level exposure checks before new entries.
The 2026 reference backtest presented below was performed using the dual-engine hedging configuration.

Recommended Operating Environment
Platform: MetaTrader 5
Primary instrument: XAUUSD / Gold
Reference chart: H1
Internal trading timeframes: M15 and M30 on hedging accounts
Reference trading volume: Fixed 0.01 lot
Account type: Hedging preferred for the full dual-engine strategy
Reference starting balance: USD 1,000 in the historical test described below
Suggested operation: A continuously running MetaTrader terminal or VPS
The EA includes its default strategy parameters. Users do not need to import an external SET file for the reference configuration.
The H1 chart is used as the reference operating chart, while the trading engines independently access the configured M15 and M30 market data.
Broker symbol suffixes and differences in Gold contract specifications must be checked before live trading.
Risk and Trading Session Management
CodeX Aurex includes several configurable mechanisms intended to manage trading activity.
Position sizing: users can select fixed-volume trading or the available percentage-based sizing mode. Fixed 0.01 lot was used in the reference backtest.
Protective orders: each trading engine can use its own stop-loss, take-profit and trailing-stop parameters.
Pending-order management: the EA can expire or cancel pending orders when the configured conditions require it.
Daily session controls: optional time-based rules can restrict trading, cancel pending orders or close positions according to the configured server times.
Friday protection: separate settings are available for managing trading exposure before the weekend.
These functions cannot guarantee a fixed maximum drawdown or prevent losses caused by gaps, slippage, platform disconnections or unexpected market conditions.
2026 Historical Backtest – Eightcap
The following reference test was performed using the CodeX Aurex v1.22 release on MetaTrader 5.
The test used historical real-tick data from Eightcap and the default dual-engine strategy configuration.

The historical test processed approximately 32.7 million ticks.
The raw Strategy Tester log was separately checked for historical tick-price inconsistencies. No tick-price mismatch or discarded-real-tick warnings were detected in this run.
The log did record rejected order submissions outside market trading hours. These were market-session execution events, not evidence of missing or discarded historical ticks.
The accompanying screenshots show the historical balance development and the reference test statistics.
These are simulated historical trading results, not live account performance.
Live Account Monitoring
A separate real-account CodeX Aurex trading signal is available through the MQL5 Signals service:
https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/2393147
The live signal and the historical backtest should be evaluated independently.
The monitored account may use a different EA version, broker environment or configuration from the v1.22 historical reference test. Its early trading history is not sufficient to establish long-term strategy reliability.
Before Using CodeX Aurex
We recommend testing the Expert Advisor in MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester using your own broker's historical data and contract specifications.
After historical testing, observe the system on a demo account before considering live trading.
Pay particular attention to trading volume, account margin, symbol specifications, server time, trading sessions, execution delays and the differences between hedging and netting accounts.
Important Risk Information
CodeX Aurex is an automated trading system, not a guaranteed-profit investment product.
Gold and CFD trading involve substantial financial risk. Historical performance does not predict future profitability, and a low historical drawdown does not establish a maximum possible future loss.
Real trading performance may differ because of market volatility, spread changes, price gaps, slippage, liquidity, broker execution conditions and changes in market behavior.
Users remain responsible for selecting appropriate position sizes, monitoring account risk and evaluating whether automated trading is suitable for their circumstances.
