XAUUSD round-number continuation: one trade per day, a real stop loss on every trade, forced exit at the end of the session.
Rules:
- At the start hour the round levels above and below price are fixed (step 50 on gold).
- The first level touched before the stop hour gives the direction: a touch above is a BUY, a touch below is a SELL.
- Stop = 0.4 x daily ATR(20); target = 2 x stop.
- One trade per day; any open trade is closed at the stop hour.
The numbers below are a backtest (1-minute OHLC model) on XAUUSD, 2025.05–2026.09, $10,000 deposit, 1% risk per trade. Real trading will differ.
- Net profit +13.7% over 17 months. 686 trades, 48% win rate, profit factor 1.11.
- Max balance drawdown 14.5% ($1,660); max equity drawdown 15.3%.
- Largest single losing trade -$108.80 (about 1.1% of the deposit).
What it does not do: no martingale, no grid, no averaging, no hedging. One position at a time.
Hours are broker server time. The defaults assume a GMT+2/GMT+3 server, the most common setup; adjust them if your broker differs.
Built and tested for XAUUSD. On other symbols the level step is set automatically, but no edge has been found there.
Risk: % of balance per trade. The broker minimum lot is used only if it risks at most the cap you set (default 3%). There is an optional daily guard and target lock for prop accounts.
Launch price. The price increases after every 10 sales (up to 299 USD). A free 7-day trial for demo accounts is available on request.
