Gold Structure Confluence
A gold-only H4 pullback system. It trades with the H4 trend, at a pullback
inside the current swing, at a tested level, and only after the level has
rejected price. Every trade has a stop and a target from the first tick.
No grid. No martingale. No averaging. No news trading. One decision per
closed H4 bar.
Built and tested for XAUUSD on H4 only.
HOW IT TRADES
Each closed H4 bar is scored on trend, swing position, level quality and the
candle's rejection of that level. The scores are multiplied, so one weak
component cancels the setup. Only strong setups trade at full size; medium
setups trade at half size or not at all, your choice.
Entry at market on the close of the rejection candle. Stop beyond the
rejection wick, never tighter than 1.5 ATR. Target at the next structural
level. Lot size from your risk percentage and the real stop distance.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- 15 to 20 trades a year. Weeks without a trade are normal, and it stays out
of runaway trends because there is no pullback to enter.
- Average holding time about two days.
- Backtest XAUUSD H4, 2024.01 to 2026.09, real ticks, 4% risk: 48 trades,
profit factor 2.9, 60% winners, max equity drawdown 12.6%. Past results do
not guarantee future results.
- Worst losing streak in testing: 7 trades. Expect roughly 7% drawdown at 1%
risk and 30% at 5%.
INPUTS
- Risk per trade, % of balance (0 = fixed lot). Recommended 1 to 5.
1 is conservative, 5 is aggressive.
- Fixed lot, used when risk is 0.
- Max open positions. Recommended 2.
- Trade B-grade setups at half size. Recommended true.
- Magic number.
Everything else is fixed in the code. Nothing to optimize.
REQUIREMENTS
XAUUSD, any broker suffix. Any account type, leverage 1:30 or higher.
Minimum deposit 1 000 USD. VPS optional.
Gold is volatile. Risk between 1% and 5% per trade, never more. Trading
involves risk of loss.
