Chrysos — Intraday Gold Momentum EA
Chrysos is a fully automated trading system for XAUUSD (Gold), built around intraday momentum. It's designed for traders who want a systematic approach to gold without the structural risks that dominate the retail EA market: no martingale, no grid, and no lot-multiplying recovery logic of any kind.

How it trades
Chrysos reads intraday momentum shifts in gold and can take both long and short positions within the same trading day. Because momentum can flip direction more than once in a session, the EA is sometimes positioned on both sides of the market at once — but this is not a hedging-to-average-down technique. There are no lot increments between these positions; each trade stands on its own with its own fixed stop loss. The dual exposure exists to follow the intraday structure, not to mask losing trades.
Every trade is protected
Every position opened by Chrysos carries a fixed stop loss from entry. There is no "let it ride and add" mechanism and no dynamic grid to absorb adverse moves. Risk per trade is defined and known before you enter it.
What Chrysos is not
There are already a lot of breakout systems on the MQL5 Market. Chrysos is not one of them. It doesn't wait for range breaks or session-open spikes — it's built around a different read of intraday price action entirely.
Built for the long game — with annual re-optimization
Markets change. Rather than pretending a single parameter set will work forever, Chrysos is re-optimized once a year by the developer, typically each January, using the most recent market data. This annual refresh is a deliberate defense against edge decay — the gradual fading of an algorithm's performance as the exact conditions it was tuned for drift away. Every buyer receives these yearly updates as part of ownership.
Set realistic expectations
Re-optimization is not a promise of smooth equity curves. Chrysos is an intraday momentum system, and like any such system, it will go through losing streaks, stagnation, and drawdown — including in years where its settings have just been refreshed. No amount of tuning removes the natural variance of trading. Chrysos is built for traders who understand this and are looking for a disciplined, risk-defined process over the long run — not a shortcut to guaranteed profits.
How to use:- Load on XAUUSD chart (timeframe is irrelevant)
- Adjust the risk settings under the section "lot sizing" to match your risk profile
- Run on VPS
- Minimum account balance for safe trading 500$ or 5$ on a cent account
- Recommended account balance: 2000$ or 20$ on a cent account
