Trend Sentinel

Trend Sentinel EA is an automated trend-follower for XAUUSD (Gold) on M15/M30, based on a moving average crossing an ATR Supertrend with a multi-timeframe filter. How it works: - Moving average (EMA 20 by default) + Supertrend (ATR x 3) - Multi-timeframe filter: LONG only if the higher timeframe (H1) is bullish, SHORT only if bearish - Trade direction filter: both / long only / short only - SL = 3 x ATR, TP = 4.5 x ATR - every trade is protected - One position at a time; no martingale, no grid, no hedging, no averaging down - Fixed lots or risk-based sizing; optional ATR trailing stop - Live panel and a 20-symbol screener - No DLLs, no external files Requirements: MetaTrader 5, XAUUSD M15 or M30. === Trading ===

• Lots (0.01): fixed volume per trade. v1.09 auto-normalizes to the broker's valid min/step (if your broker requires 0.10, it trades 0.10)
• Magic Number (20260815): EA identifier — change it if you run several EAs on the same account
• Max Slippage (30): maximum accepted slippage, in points
• Trade Direction (Both): Both = longs and shorts · Long only · Short only (to exploit a specific trend)

• Source (hl2 / median): price used for the average — Open, High, Low, Close, Median (hl2), Typical, Weighted
• Moving Average Type (EMA): average type — SMA, EMA, WMA, TMA, VAR, WWMA, ZLEMA, TSF
• Moving Average Length (20): average period (validated)
• ATR Length (10): ATR period of the Supertrend
• ATR Multiplier (3.0): supertrend multiplier — higher = fewer signals
• ATR: RMA (Wilder) (true): Wilder RMA instead of SMA(TR) — recommended

=== Risk Management ===

• Enable SL/TP (true): enables ATR-based stop loss and take profit
• Stop Loss = ATR × mult (3.0): SL distance (validated)
• Take Profit = ATR × mult (4.5): TP distance (validated; 1:1.5 ratio)
• Enable trailing stop (false): ATR trailing — validation showed it worsens results, leave off
• Trail distance = ATR × mult (1.5): trailing distance if enabled
• Sizing (0): 0 = fixed lots · 1 = risk % of account
• Risk per trade % (1.0): risk per trade in % (only if Sizing = 1)

• Enable HTF (true): higher-timeframe trend filter — the key robustness factor
• Higher TF (H1): trend timeframe (H1 validated; H4 works)
