Wyckoff Schematic Detector

Wyckoff analysis done by hand is slow, and easy to talk yourself into. This indicator marks the classic Wyckoff event sequence on your chart automatically, using price structure together with volume and bar range rather than price shape alone.

WHAT IT DETECTS AND LABELS

Accumulation: PS preliminary support, SC selling climax, AR automatic rally, ST secondary test, and SPRING the shakeout

Distribution: PSY preliminary supply, BC buying climax, AR automatic reaction, ST secondary test, and UTAD upthrust after distribution

HOW IT DECIDES

- Swing pivots are found over a configurable lookback

- A climax bar must show volume above your multiple of its average AND a bar range above your multiple of its average, so ordinary bars do not get labelled as climaxes

- A secondary test must come in on lower volume than the climax, by your chosen ratio, which is what separates a real test from another impulse

- Events must arrive within your configured maximum bar distances, so a stale structure is not stitched together

ON THE CHART

- Every detected event is labelled on the bar where it happened

- The trading range is drawn, and accumulation and distribution use separate colours

- Alerts on detected events, with an option to alert on SPRING and UTAD only, which are the events most traders actually wait for

- Popup, push notification, email and sound, each switchable on its own

INPUTS

Pivot lookback, scan bars and trend lookback. Volume average period and volume climax multiple. Range average period and range climax multiple. Secondary test maximum volume ratio. Maximum bars to AR and to ST. Secondary test tolerance percent. Spring maximum bars. Draw range on or off. Accumulation, distribution and range colours. Label font and font size. Alert on events, alert on spring only, use popup, use push notification, use email, use sound, and the sound file name.

NOTES

- Wyckoff is a discretionary framework. This tool marks the events objectively and consistently so you can read structure faster. It does not predict, and it is not a trading signal on its own.

- The volume used is whatever your broker provides for the symbol, which for forex is tick volume.

- Push notifications require a MetaQuotes ID configured in your terminal.

- This is an analysis indicator. It does not open, close or manage trades.
