🤖 Bot Overview: ETH ICT Grid Engine

This expert advisor (EA) is an automated grid-trading system designed specifically for the high-volatility environment of Ethereum (ETHUSD). It uses Daily (D1) ICT (Inner Circle Trader) market structure concepts to determine the master market bias and enters trades on lower timeframes ($M15$) when price confluences with critical liquidity zones.

1. Market Bias Generation (The ICT Core)

Instead of trading blindly in both directions, the bot scans the Daily ($D1$) chart at the start of each cycle to establish a Strict Order Flow Bias:

• SSL Sweep (Bullish Bias): If yesterday's candle swept below the recent 15-day low (Sell Side Liquidity) but closed back above it, the bot flags a institutional stop-hunt and locks into BUY-only mode.

• BSL Sweep (Bearish Bias): If yesterday's candle swept above the recent 15-day high (Buy Side Liquidity) but closed below it, the bot flags an institutional mitigation phase and locks into SELL-only mode.

• D1 FVG Confluence: The bot scans the last 5 daily candles for a Fair Value Gap (Imbalance) greater than $\$20.00$ ( 2000 points ). If an FVG is found, it calculates the Consequent Encroachment (CE)—the exact 50% midpoint of the FVG—and marks it as the primary institutional institutional entry zone.

2. Execution & Grid Layering ($M15$)

Once the $D1$ ICT bias is confirmed, the bot executes trades on the 15-minute ($M15$) chart using an adaptive grid system:

• Layer 1 Entry: The bot will only open its initial order if the price retraces directly into the $D1$ FVG Midpoint or tests a key 4-week support/resistance level.

• Volatility-Based Grid: If the market temporarily moves against the position, the bot opens secondary Averaging Orders. The distance between these grid lines is not fixed; it dynamically scales based on the current ATR (Average True Range) multiplied by 1.5 to account for ETH's shifting volatility.

• Crypto Kill Zones: It restricts initial entries to high-volume hours ( 13:00–21:00 and 00:00–04:00 MT5 time), matching major US equity sessions where crypto liquidity peaks.

3. Risk Management & Defensive Protocols

Because Ethereum can experience massive, unidirectional trends, the system includes aggressive capital preservation mechanisms:

• Auto-Lock System: The bot automatically halts opening new grid levels if:

  • The ADX indicator rises above 45 , signaling a dangerous, over-extended trend.

  • The Spread widens past 1500 points (frequent during weekend liquidity gaps or major crypto funding rate resets).

  • The current account drawdown crosses 15% .

• Partial Close (Drawdown Mitigation): If the account drawdown reaches 12% , the bot activates a partial close algorithm, lopping off 30% of the total volume to relieve margin pressure without needing to trigger a full stop-loss.

• Hedge & Recovery Mode: If a trend completely breaks the grid structure and drawdown hits 8% while ADX confirms a powerful momentum wave, the bot instantly deploys an opposite Hedge Position calculated at a 0.5 ratio of total volume. It then activates a "Smart Exit" script to close the entire basket at a small basket profit ( $5.00 ) once the market consolidates.
