What's New in V1.4 (May 2026): Backtest with News Filter


The MT5 Strategy Tester does not provide access to the Economic Calendar, so high-impact news events are normally ignored during backtest. V1.4 adds an integrated CSV News Builder in the dashboard:


- Open the popup with the CSV button on the dashboard

- Choose a date range with quick presets (1Y, 2Y, 3Y, 5Y, 10Y)

- Filter by HIGH and MEDIUM impact news

- Generate the news history file with one click from the MT5 Economic Calendar

- From that moment, every Strategy Tester run applies the news filter, the same way it works in live trading


V1.4 also includes trailing stop improvements:


- Proper validation of the broker stops level to avoid Invalid stops rejections

- A session check to reduce Market closed messages during low-liquidity periods


The D1 breakout logic, signals, lot sizing and entry rules are unchanged compared to V1.3.

How to Run a Backtest with News (V1.4)


1. Attach the EA to a live chart, not the Strategy Tester

2. Open the CSV popup from the dashboard

3. Choose the date range and impact filters, then build the CSV

4. Open the Strategy Tester. The news filter is now active in backtest


Generate the CSV once. Re-run it periodically to keep the news history updated.
