I'm Martin, a trader from the Czech Republic focused on one thing — gold. I run the AlphaEdge Smart signal here on MQL5, trading XAUUSD with a breakout strategy on a live, real-money account. No demo, no backtests dressed up as a track record.
My approach is deliberately simple and rules-based: I don't try to predict where gold goes. I wait for price to break a level decisively and ride the follow-through, with a defined stop-loss and take-profit on every position. One instrument, one method, applied consistently.
What matters most to me is transparency. My track record is fully verified and public — over a year of live trading that you can check for yourself on my signal page, rather than take my word for it. I'd rather show real numbers than make big promises. If you trade gold too, follow the signal or read my blog — always happy to talk shop.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Trading carries a substantial risk of loss.

After August's breakout to new highs, gold spent September giving a large part of it back. From around 4,390 at the start of the month it worked its way lower through payrolls, a Fed hike and hot PMI data — and on Monday, 28 September, it finally gave way below 4,240 and kept going under 4,200...

Last Friday I finished with two levels and no forecast: the low $4,300s, which had been tested and reclaimed during Fed week, and the $4,380–4,400 band that capped the post-hike rally. This week both of them answered. The top held as resistance. The bottom gave way...

Two weeks ago I wrote here about the payrolls candle and why a breakout system has no business trading it. The argument was simple: a level only means something if someone was defending it, and during a scheduled release nobody is...

August closed at +5.02% (+€201.55) from 17 trades, 14 of them winners, profit factor 2.53 — and the track record passed two years live in the same month: 799 trades since August 2024, 80% win rate, PF 2.22, maximum drawdown 15.32%, and 20 of 25 closed months positive.
One note on the two growth figures, because they sit on the same page: the +198.84% is the full history measured from deposits since August 2024, while the +153% shown here is the same account measured from the day this signal was published in February 2026 (€1,664.59 equity). Same trades, different starting points.
The month-by-month breakdown — including the worst single trade of the whole two years, −€66.81 on 3 August, and what came two days after it — is here:

Last Friday gold did something that looks, on a chart, exactly like a breakout. At 08:30 New York the August payrolls report landed at 162,000 new jobs against expectations of around 53,000, unemployment held at 4...

August 2026: +5.02% — and two years live.
17 trades, 82.4% win rate, profit factor 2.53 for the month. Gold broke the $4,000–$4,150 range in the first week and the system took the continuation.
The track record turns two this month: +198.84% on the account since August 2024 (MQL5 measures growth from the signal's publication in February 2026), 799 trades, 80% win rate, max drawdown 15.32%.
Full breakdown — including the month's two losing trades and why they were both shorts: https://www.mql5.com/en/blogs/post/775165

August 2026 Results: The Breakout Finally Came — and the Track Record Turns Two
1 septembre 2026, 11:38
Last month I wrote that July was a deliberately quiet month: gold sat in a broad $4,000–$4,150 range, the system took ten trades and finished essentially flat at −0.01%. I also wrote that a rangebound month isn't a problem for a breakout system — it's the setup...

Gold traders didn't need a coffee to wake up on Wednesday. XAU/USD opened the day already climbing on dollar weakness, then ripped higher in the afternoon session, tacking on roughly $100 in under 45 minutes to trade above $4,460 an ounce — its highest level since early June...

Last week I wrote that gold had finally cracked out of the airless range it spent a month building, running hard into the $4,360–$4,380 zone. The obvious question after a move like that is always the same one: does it hold, or does it hand it all back...

For most of the past month I was writing the same thing in different words: gold was stuck, the range was airless, and there was nothing worth forcing. Last week that ended. The compression I'd been watching resolved, and it resolved hard...

July was a slow month for AlphaEdge Smart — and that was the right call. Gold spent most of the month chopping in a broad range around the $4,000–$4,150 zone. No clean, committed breakout, no sustained trend to ride. When the market doesn't hand you a real setup, the discipline is to wait...

Gold is closing July on the front foot, trading near $4,074 per ounce and heading for its first monthly gain in five months. After the Federal Reserve left rates unchanged at 3...

XAUUSD: Breakout to 4,150 — resistance test into Fed week
22 juillet 2026, 14:55
Gold pushed +1.8% today to 4,150, breaking out of the 4,075–4,100 zone that capped price for days. Softer dollar and Fed-outlook focus driving the move. Now testing resistance right at recent highs. Levels I'm watching: ▪️ 4,150–4,175 — resistance / decision zone. Price just tapped this...

Gold has been under pressure lately. After the record highs earlier this year, XAUUSD corrected sharply and is now fighting to hold the psychological $4,000 level...
