Trade Panel Sextant for MetaTrader 5 – every trade sized from your risk. You set how much you want to risk, place the stop where the chart says, and Sextant calculates the lot size, sends the order and manages the trade. An account guard with a daily loss limit, a daily target and trade caps keeps a bad day from becoming a bad month.
Everything sits in one calm, tabbed panel: TRADE, MANAGE, GUARD and INFO. Three themes, tooltips on every control, hotkeys, and every value is remembered per symbol.
Trade
- Risk per trade as % of balance, % of equity, a money amount or fixed lots. The lot size is rounded down, so the loss at the stop never exceeds your risk. Commission per lot can be included.
- Stop loss in points, as a multiple of ATR, or from a red line you drag on the chart.
- Take profit as a reward:risk ratio, in points, from a green line, or off.
- Lines on the chart show price, pips, money and R while you drag. Moving the entry line moves stop and target with it.
- Pending orders: the entry line decides between limit and stop by itself.
- Hidden stops: stop and target are kept in the terminal, not at the broker. An optional wider safety stop stays at the broker in case the terminal goes offline, and it follows the hidden stop.
- Split into up to 3 positions with a target ladder (1/3, 2/3, 3/3 of the distance).
- Before sending, Sextant checks Algo Trading, the symbol's trade mode, the broker's minimum stop distance, volume limits, free margin and your maximum spread. If a market order slips, the stop is moved to the planned distance from the real fill.
Manage
- Break-even at x R with lock-in points.
- Partial close once at x R, any percentage.
- Trailing stop, 5 methods: fixed points, x ATR, low/high of the last N bars, EMA, Parabolic SAR. Starts at x R, moves in steps and never against the trade.
- Choose what is managed: trades of the panel, also manual trades, or every trade on the symbol.
- Bulk actions with a confirmation click: close all, buys, sells, winners, losers; delete pending orders; close 50 %; stops to break-even; reverse; lock; set every stop or target to the line. Scope: this symbol or the whole account.
- Open positions list with R multiple, result and a close button per position.
Guard
- Daily loss limit in % of the balance at the start of the day or in money, closed result plus floating.
- Daily target, max trades per day, max open risk (money at stake to all stops) and an equity floor.
- Room check: a new trade is refused if hitting its stop could break today's loss limit.
- On a hit: close all positions and pending orders, block new trades until the next server day. With Enforce, trades opened while blocked are closed again, including those from other EAs or the mobile app.
- Shared by every Sextant chart on the account. Guard values can be locked by the inputs, so they cannot be changed in the heat of the moment.
- Results today, this week and this month, trades and win rate today.
Info
Spread, ATR, time to bar close, value of one pip, swap, lot limits, stops and freeze level, net exposure and break-even price of the symbol, margin level, account type and leverage.

Shift+B buy · Shift+S sell · Shift+X twice: close all · Shift+L lines · Shift+P pending · Shift+H hidden stops.
How it is tested
- A built-in self test runs in the Strategy Tester and checks risk maths, market and pending orders, close 50 %, break-even, hidden stops, split orders, reverse, lock, trailing and the guard rules. Set "Run the built-in self test" to true and read the Journal.
- Tested in the MT5 Strategy Tester on a broker demo account with real ticks (all 17 self-test checks passed) and in a default-input run over nine months of H1 data without a single trade error.
- The code went through several review rounds before submission.
- Works in the visual Strategy Tester, so you can try every button on history before you buy.
Requirements
- MetaTrader 5, hedging or netting account. On netting accounts one position per symbol: split orders, hidden stops and lock are not available there.
- Allow Algo Trading in the terminal and in the program's settings.
- Hidden stops and the guard work while the terminal is running. For hidden stops a VPS is recommended, and the broker safety stop should stay on.
- The panel does not trade on its own. In a non-visual Strategy Tester run it places demo trades so that the test is not empty.
Risk warning: trading forex and CFDs on margin carries a high risk of loss. A trade panel helps you keep your rules; it does not make trades profitable.
