A selective momentum Expert Advisor for XAUUSD — maximum one trade per day, volatility-based stops and no grid or martingale.
MMplatinum XAU Pulse is an automated Gold trading system developed specifically for XAUUSD on the M5 timeframe.
Instead of constantly searching for entries, the EA evaluates the market during one scheduled entry window per day. A trade is opened only when short-term and longer-term momentum point in the same direction.
If the momentum signals do not agree, the EA stays out of the market.

Selective Momentum Entry
The EA compares two momentum horizons calculated from completed M5 candles.
-
Both momentum values positive: potential long entry
-
Both momentum values negative: potential short entry
-
Conflicting momentum values: no trade
Once the daily entry opportunity has been processed, the EA does not continue chasing new trades. A maximum of one new position can be opened per day.
Volatility-Based Stops
This strategy is not based on ultra-tight stop-loss scalping.
The initial stop-loss is calculated dynamically from recent XAUUSD volatility. Depending on market conditions, the resulting distance is typically around USD 15–35 in the Gold price, although it can be lower or higher during unusually quiet or volatile periods.
With the default settings, the initial take-profit is placed at 2R, meaning twice the initial stop-loss distance.
The EA can also manage positions using its R-based trailing stop and scheduled time exit. Therefore, the realized reward-to-risk ratio of an individual trade may differ from the initial 2R target.
Flexible Risk Management
Three position-sizing modes are available:
-
Fixed monetary risk
-
Percentage risk based on balance, equity or free margin
-
Fixed lot size
An optional maximum-volume limit can restrict the calculated position size.
