Praxis Index Trend is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor built for traders who prefer a small number of deliberate decisions instead of constant market activity. It reads completed Daily data, reviews the market on a monthly schedule and keeps no more than one strategy position open.
The proprietary signal and its internal calibration are not disclosed. The buyer-facing operation is simple: attach the EA to your broker's US500 equivalent, verify the symbol specifications in the Strategy Tester and test on demo before considering capital.

Screenshots 2 and 3 show the actual closed-trade balance paths and the exact comparison. The configuration remained positive after it was frozen and applied to the newer window. This reduces one form of overfitting doubt, but remains historical simulation—not live performance or a forecast.
For long-horizon context, the retained continuous 2017–2026 test produced 113 trades, profit factor 1.46 and 6.19% maximum balance drawdown.
What it does
- Participates in long-horizon market direction through a systematic proprietary signal.
- Calculates position volume from the selected risk percentage and protective-stop distance.
- Sends every entry with a broker-side protective stop.
- Maintains at most one position opened by this strategy on the chart symbol.
- Does not use grid, martingale, averaging, recovery baskets, trailing stops or a fixed take profit.

The program has no hard symbol or chart-period lock. However, the retained profitability research applies only to US500. Results on another instrument are not claimed or validated.
Inputs
- RiskPercent - estimated percentage of balance risked per entry. Default: 1%. Reduce it to lower exposure.
- MaxSpreadPoints - optional maximum spread filter in broker points. Zero disables the filter.
- SlippagePoints - allowed execution deviation in broker points.
- MagicNumber - identifier used to separate this EA's positions.
- OrderComment - short label written on strategy orders.
Before enabling automated trading
- Run the Market demo in the Strategy Tester with your broker's US500 symbol.
- Check tick value, volume step, spread, swaps and trading sessions.
- Run on demo and inspect the first order size and stop placement.
- Start with the lowest risk compatible with your tolerance.
