VP RSI Momentum Zones is a custom indicator for MetaTrader 5 designed for manual traders who want a clear oscillator-based view of market momentum. The indicator uses the Relative Strength Index as the main momentum line and adds a simple signal line to help identify directional momentum changes. It also displays bullish and bearish momentum areas around the midline and optional arrows when RSI crosses the signal line in a directional zone.
The indicator is built as a visual analysis tool. It does not open trades, close trades, manage positions, use grid logic, martingale logic, DLL calls, external web requests, or file operations. It is intended for chart reading, confirmation, market review, and strategy building.
Core Idea
The main RSI line shows momentum strength inside the classic 0 to 100 oscillator range. The signal line smooths the RSI and helps the trader identify momentum changes. When RSI crosses above the signal line while above the midline, the indicator can mark a bullish momentum condition. When RSI crosses below the signal line while below the midline, the indicator can mark a bearish momentum condition.

Input Parameters
RSI Period: default 14. Controls the calculation period of the RSI momentum line.
Signal Period: default 9. Controls the smoothing period used to create the signal line.
Applied Price: default Close. Selects the price source used for RSI calculation.
Overbought Level: default 70. The upper reference level.
Midline Level: default 50. The central reference level used for directional momentum filtering.
Oversold Level: default 30. The lower reference level.
Show Histogram: default true. Shows or hides bullish and bearish momentum areas.
Show Arrows: default true. Shows or hides buy and sell momentum arrows.
Enable Popup Alerts: default false. Enables or disables popup alerts.
Alert On Current Bar: default false. If disabled, alerts are based on a closed candle. This is usually more stable. If enabled, alerts may trigger on the current forming candle and can change before the candle closes.
How to Use
1. Attach VP RSI Momentum Zones to any MetaTrader 5 chart.
2. Start with the default settings.
3. Use the RSI line to observe momentum strength.
4. Use the signal line to observe momentum shifts.
5. Use the midline as a directional filter.
6. Treat arrows as visual markers, not automatic entries.
7. Confirm signals with your own trading system, support/resistance, trend context, and risk management.
8. Test the indicator on a demo account before live use.
Signal Interpretation
Buy Momentum Arrow: appears when RSI crosses above the signal line while RSI is above the midline. This can suggest bullish momentum improvement.
Sell Momentum Arrow: appears when RSI crosses below the signal line while RSI is below the midline. This can suggest bearish momentum weakness.
Bullish Momentum Area: shown when RSI is above the signal line.
Bearish Momentum Area: shown when RSI is below the signal line.
