Magic Number Manager (OrderByMagic)

Magic Number Manager (OrderByMagic) is a display-only MetaTrader 5 indicator that reads all open positions and groups them by magic number directly on the chart, refreshed every couple of seconds. It never opens, closes or modifies any trade.

Features

  • Live grouping by magic number: instantly see which positions belong to which EA.
  • Per-group overview: total lots and profit/loss for each magic number.
  • Collision detection: spot when two EAs share a magic number, a common cause of conflicts in multi-EA accounts.
  • Read-only and safe: it only displays data, so it is safe to run alongside any EA.
  • Frequent refresh keeps the view current.

Inputs

  • Refresh Interval: update frequency in seconds (default about 2).
  • Panel position and size.
  • Color and font options.
  • Show per-group P/L on/off.

Outputs

  • On-chart panel listing each magic number with its position count, total lots and P/L.

Alerts

This is a monitoring display; it does not generate trade alerts.

Limitations

It is informational only and takes no action on trades. It reports the positions currently open on the account; it cannot change how an EA assigns magic numbers.
