Hi,
Is ProfilePriceArea a Value Area setting?
Hi,
Is ProfilePriceArea a Value Area setting?
Yes, that's right. ProfilePriceArea is the zone value, in percent.
Would you be willing to add an option to enable Daily/Weekly/Monthly profile with user defined lookback period? This would save time instead of adding 10 instances of an indicator for, let's say, 10 (or any number) previous days. Thanks.
This indicator was conceived for those traders who want to build any arbitrary (not standard) profile, in any arbitrary position on the graph. Maybe You will like this indicator https://www.mql5.com/ru/market/product/9699 - this is also my product, it just focuses on my companion. Or I can create for You the indicator to meet Your specific needs (via freelance).
In other words, if I set the vertical lines in a certain place I want them to stay there every time I switch a timeframe. How to fix it?
I understand Your question. But the indicator always remembers its location separately for each timeframe, as it was intended. But I will think about Your comment, in next version will add the ability to disable this function.
When do you plan to add this option? As it is right now, I really have no idea who would wanna use it like this?
Thank you!
Is there an option to disable the features that you added in v1.2 and v1.3. I personally don't need them at all, I was completely satisfied with v1.1. Also, switching between timeframes lags too much and is unacceptable to me. All I need is to be able to see a simple market profile based on a drawn rectangle (like in v1.1) with value area and POC.
You can disable - delta, and imbalance, and fading, and smart. View description of input variables. And what lags are observed when switching between timeframes? At least in MT4 all works well. I observed a slight slowdown only in MT5, due to the nature of this platform, but in general it works well.
It takes about 1 second for a timeframe to switch and a bit longer than that for profile to redraw/appear. Without this indicator switching is instant. I switch timeframes a lot and it is of utmost importance to me that there is no lag, otherwise it is super annoying and makes it useless for me. It is obviously due to a lot of calculations in the indicator, right?
Very true, the indicator performs a lot of calculations from the younger (relative to current) timeframe. I further optimized the source code to speed up the work of the indicator, and it's top speed, faster is simply impossible.
Unfortunately, I cannot use it with a lag like that.
Please describe in more detail how You use the indicator:
1. How many profiles at the same time You are creating?
2. What timeframes do You primarily use?
3. What is the resolution of the Your monitor, in pixels vertically and horizontally?
4. Please attach a screenshot of the settings (input variables of the indicator) that You constantly use.
5. But if You can capture video from Your monitor, it would have been better so I could analyze.
When switching between timeframes, profiles may not appear instantly, the calculation of profiles is made by timer every 0.5 seconds, in fact it is very fast.

1. So far I've been using it with one rectangle only and, like I said, it takes about one second for timeframes to switch.
2. Mostly stay on M1/M5 but also switch to higher timeframes briefly a few times every hour.
3. My main monitor is 1920X1080.
