This indicator uses your broker's server time to plot each trading session, but the strategy itself is described in GMT+0 for universal reference. To set it up correctly, you'll first need to check your broker's server time offset.

For example, if your server runs on GMT+3, you'd adjust the London session from 07:00–08:00 GMT to 10:00–11:00 server time.  
GMT+3

If your server is GMT+7, that same London session would become 14:00–15:00 your local server time.
GMT+7

The indicator’s default settings are aligned with GMT+3, so if your server uses a different timezone, you’ll need to convert each session manually. An online time zone converter can help make this easier. Always test these settings in demo first to make sure everything lines up as expected with your broker’s time.

Strategy Sessions & Market Correlation

To really get why these breakout strategies use the specific time windows they do, it helps to line them up with the standard Forex market sessions. The big moves often happen when these sessions open or overlap. Let’s break it down.

Based on standard Forex market hours (in GMT), here is how the strategy sessions correlate:

Strategy Session (GMT) Correlates to Market Session (GMT) Key Overlap & Reasoning
London Opening Range (07:00 - 08:00) London Session (08:00 - 17:00) Captures the first hour of the London open, when liquidity and volatility surge.
New York Opening Range (13:00 - 14:00) New York Session (13:00 - 22:00) Captures the first hour of the New York open, often when London is still active (major overlap).
Tokyo/Midnight Range (00:00 - 01:00) Tokyo Session (00:00 - 09:00) Specifically targets the first hour of the Tokyo session open.

You must convert these GMT session times into your broker's server time before inputting them into the Expert Advisor (EA). For example, if your broker uses GMT+3, the "London Opening Range (07:00-08:00 GMT)" would be set in your EA as 10:00-11:00.

These strategies aren't random. They're built to exploit moments when a massive wave of new participants enters the market (a session open) or when two big waves combine (a session overlap). That's when you get the volume and momentum needed for a reliable breakout.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I've been tracking feedback from a few users who've reported lagging issues when running the indicator on 1 minute charts. I released a fix for this issue earlier, but performance can vary depending on your computer and settings. If the chart is slow, here are a few quick things you can adjust that often help:

  • Reduce the History value in the inputs.
  • Disable any sessions you’re not actively using.
  • Turn off session boxes or high/low lines if you don’t need them.
  • Disable FVG drawing, gap highlights, or other visuals you aren’t relying on. 

If you or anyone else is experiencing this, I'm actively looking into it and will be working on optimizations in the next update to improve performance. Thanks for letting me know, your reports really help make the tool better!
