MQL5 Cloud Network: Are You Still Calculating? - page 12

komonych:
I put 8 agents on my laptop (core i7, 8 cores). PR each about 150, worked for 24 hours. The result - 5 cents. Question - either I'm doing something wrong, or why charge anything at all?

The computer was on for 24 hours and the agents were loaded for 24 hours, without pauses - these are two big differences.

You clearly just had the computer on for 24 hours, but with this PR, the actual load time of the agents was about 1 hour. No more than that.

I would like to know how the work in the cloud is organised with transferred files specified in #property tester_file. Are they sent to each agent at each new pass? Or is there some kind of caching at the agent? I.e. so that the file is not transferred repeatedly.

It's just that according to my observations everything is somehow slow. Agents hang in the Connecting status for about a minute, probably because of the file transfer, although it weighs only 6 MB.

I still don't understand how the cloud usage price is calculated. 11 minutes, $11.54. That's a lot of money. I, for example, am ready to give the same $20 for a day.

Why is it not possible to use agents of those people who provide them for free. They're also free.

There needs to be a hard time-price line. So that people have an idea of what and how much it will cost.

Look in the "Agents - Tasks" section of your profile, where you can see all completed tasks.

For example, here is your rental 11,590 agents:

I have 2 computers available to the cloud....... they are not used a lot, perhaps because of my location.

I quite like the idea of having other computers available in case I need results quickly, and the costs are trivial compared to the costs of having additional computers and maintaining whatever may be necessary to have them available.

This is a great service.!!

I agree on the location part, I think that has something to do with it.  The central server that sends the jobs out to us local computer users I think looks at what is available in the immediate geographical area first and tries to use those.  So if someone is running a test from the US, they look for US agents first, and so on.  I also agree with the rest of the post, but for different reasons. :P

Today all the installed agent processes on my Windows 10 pro 64bit laptop are gone. Plus, the statistics of tasks performed in MetaTester Agents Manager was reset to zero. The log packs were recreated today (literally, just today). Only this remains in the logs:

PL      0       18:15:46.708    Exit    shutdown thread started

After the upgrade of the operating system it is necessary to re-register the agents, because the computer configuration has changed.

All tasks previously performed by them are saved and paid. This can be seen in the agents' history.

And something small number of agents does not pass when using the cloud. For example, for each variable I need 18-20 agents sequentially, but the tester stops and nothing happens. That's weird.

I haven't even made a dollar in a month. The company is a total pauper. )) I have 7 cores. I work in the MQL5 Cloud Network.

I burned more energy on those fucking speculators.

More energy burned by these fucking profiteers.
