Libraries: DaysOfWeekCheck - page 2

I remember the only reasonable solution of single-function libraries on MT4 is I.Kim's branch.

Even he had no idea to create a whole post in the codebase for each small function.

In my opinion, if we put ordinary functions in the codebase, we should at least do it in large batches of single-meaning functions (in other words, actual libraries) in one publication. But not saw them into a hundred small ones.

Firstly, this way they will be related by meaning and this library publication can be maintained and improved.

Secondly, spreading codes with one function all over the database will not lead to anything good. it will only worsen the junk state of the codebase and the search for the necessary code.

After all, you often just needed a simple example in a few lines, so that you could paste it and everything would work. And then over time you would modify or write your own example from scratch.

Compare the usefulness of this afftor's codes with, say, integer codes.

And in general, imho, a standard library must have a functionality that allows you to do the above code without even moving a single brain.

The usefulness of this author's codes lies in the fact that they have been downloaded from the codebase 244 thousand times and have been distributed all over the world and used by a huge number of traders. And these traders don't care at all what nonsense some scum is saying about it.

As for the standard code, I think so and that is the reason why I placed this code in the codebase so that it would turn out that way later on.

Although... if the methaquots like it. Good luck and seven feet under the keel.

GODZILLA:

So far, your annoying fludding in the middle of nowhere and for any reason is acting as a rubbish dump! If you are so knowledgeable, what is necessary on this site, then nothing prevents it to prove it in practice as concrete and numerous examples. And where are they? About public revision - any software product is never fully completed from one time and there are always errors in it, which are corrected later. If you still haven't realised this, you should change your profession. For example, kneading concrete or carrying bricks on a construction site! And everybody except you has minimal complaints about my codes for some reason! What's the matter? Somehow so for this day the whole contingent on the use of the terminal has made 244 thousand downloads of my code and absolute absence of any comments like yours in my address. It's clear to anyone who you are and who I am!

Nikolay, I am very sorry for you on the one hand, and on the other hand, I am glad that you are so sure that you are right.

I am not going to respond to the bucket of slop that you have deigned to spill on these pages.

Live with it yourself. Good luck.

Hint, if anyone knows, is there a "library" that defines being in summer/winter time, at least for major countries? I'd like to see an implementation.

When I got acquainted with the MT platform, and found a forum with "catobase" I at first as a beginner, started to download everything (well, it can not be that in such a pile of code is not useful), it turned out it can.

From the entire fourth catobase useful with a dozen or two codes, all the rest of the rubbish.

When a new forum appeared, I sinfully thought that "now the people are already mature, understand that it is not worth making a new catobase rubbish",

but I was wrong again, and in a matter of months I turned the fifth catbase into a similar one to the fourth.

Now it is again difficult to find useful code among this rubbish.

Earlier I used to download your codes to analyse them in detail, without hurrying what sacral meaning is put in them, then I stopped downloading them and started only to browse them (without saving), then I got tired of it,

now I go to Automated-Trading announcements only if there is an author other than Nikolay Kositsin.

Forgive my bias, respect for the amazing ability to work (this energy would be in a peaceful direction), but GODZILLA for me is an example of absolute tastelessness, as an art historian would say.

I do not agree with this wording. The MQL5 language contains so much information that it is impossible to cover it with a couple of dozens of indicators or Expert Advisors. Each seeker finds something for himself, and it is not for nothing that we have integrated the search engine directly into the MetaTrader 5 editor.

Thanks to Nikolay and other percussionists, as you said, Code Base is filled with tutorial examples for beginners. Besides, he finds these codes on the web, rewrites them in MQL5 and does not forget to indicate the author. And this is not counting the huge amount of code he has written himself! What are digital filters alone worth? Who else has learnt so much about them and posted them here? Don't forget about it too, please.

It's just that Nikolai Kositsin makes a noticeably large contribution to the Code base, and that's why he is in the public eye like no one else.

Sir! Your problems are not in the fact that somewhere and someone places some wrong codes, but in the fact that you, as a greedy gourmet, picking at the next, outlandish dish can not understand that the most rational and useful for you personally will be - to sit there without bread! Codbase is an arsenal of tools for work, in which everyone chooses the option necessary for him, and not a tastefully decorated still life, which as a spectacle every day change! If you have found your tools, then why the hell are you sticking around, make money! Only everyone has their own tools, and to someone yours will seem to be outright crap, especially considering the fact that he does a hundred times more than you do on completely different, tasteless from your point of view tools, and he is not interested in your opinion in any way!

In any shop of tools, no matter what kind, there are always tens of thousands of items and all of them are in demand. And always amaze with their wisdom and understanding "experts of life", who in all this variety found nothing valuable, except for a pickaxe! And these experts of capitalist labour in this country the number of tools with the help of which the country can earn a living has been reduced to a very compact and very understandable number, leaving oil and gas, and all the rest of the tasteless good successfully sent to the bin!

Let's slow it down!
