There is, I am not afraid of this word, an urgent need to connect your history to analyse by calendar days.

... CustomChart is a crutch....
Then any indicator or Expert Advisor can be considered a crutch.
A crutch is usually a workaround or elimination of a bug. Adding or changing functionality by means other than standard means (for example, by means of DLL) can also be considered a crutch.
CustomChart does not bypass or eliminate any bugs. CustomChart is an ordinary indicator. Its code is as clean and transparent as the MA code. The fact that this indicator has some additional properties is the praise of MQL5.
Did you miss the word "respect" in my statement about CustomChart? Do you even understand about the disparity between the comparisons of CustomChart and custom history, and thus the context where the word "crutch" was applied?
A lot of time has been spent on MetaTrader 4, including its mobile versions.
Our plan is to release MT5 builds once a month, so as not to make clients nervous.
We will not destroy the back-end infrastructure.
To understand the implications, consider the amount of in-market information, full integration of all access functions, paging, synchronisation/correctness checks, transparent work in cludes and remote agents, multicurrency and the ability to count everything transparently.
We will not return to the world of crutches. Our goal is ease, automatism and transparency of all operations.
There will be no custom history.
There will be no custom story.
We will not destroy the internal infrastructure.
To understand the consequences, evaluate the volume of internal market information, full integration of all access functions, paging, synchronisation/correctness checks, transparent work in cludes and remote agents, multicurrency and the ability to count everything transparently.

Demagoguery in its purest form. Quite masterly and professional (even envious, I don't always manage to wrap it up like that...) I speak quite good-naturedly. The term "demagogy" was used not to insult, but purely in a technical sense.
There is a good option.
Open (by you) a thread for collecting wishes for the tester. Open it not "formally", to demonstrate democracy and openness policy, but to really study the needs of autotraders. And really study these needs, really.
And we can look positively at the shortcomings ourselves... - even use them sometimes. :-)
If you set such a goal, you will find an option, if you are willing.
Taking into account the experience in 5 platforms, I can make conclusions quite accurately and confirmed.
Demagoguery is when a person without practical experience speaks for the sake of "world peace" and similar platitudes. Desires have little to do with actual technical capabilities. Those who do not realise this, fail projects, bringing them to monstrosity directly "at the request of the public".
