How to turn off any system access other then user input of the Meta Editors AI assistant.

The following is quite worrysome:

And i do not mean the fact that the AI suggest non existing, not compiling code not once not twice but repeatedly. I am talking about the fact it searches in files, creates files, compiles and even runs them without giving it any permission to do so.

I want this to be turned of, period. It also begs the question what else it is able to do without giving proper permissions for it.

I haven't found nor needed a way to disable that functionality. Based on my experience, that functionality is inherent in an agentic AI engine. What I have learned is how to preface prompts in a limiting manner. Most of my prompts start with something like, "Without editing any other files,..." or "Write a new indicator that does A, B, and C, without creating nor editing any other files." Believe it or not, the AI Assistant will get to know your typical workflow over time.

With MCP enabled, there is almost no limit. Given your personal preference, you might want to disable MCP if you haven't already.

If you talk like that with an AI Agent, no wonder it doesn't know what to do. So it tries what comes first.

You need to be explicit and precise in what you want. That's nothing specific to AI Assistant.

About the ability to fine tune the permissions I don't think MetaQuotes will change it (I could be wrong).

Almost nothing.

The assistant has access to the entire MQL5 directory and needs it for work. Furthermore, it has access to MQL5\Include.
