EA Competition - page 2

"Your ideas are absolutely worthless. Your execution is everything."

Totally appropriate possibly on another space . For me I am more than happy from what I earned from Metaquotes it was like pulling money from thin air but to disregard some of the the nefarious activities be metaquotes complicit or not as a conspiracy theory  would be naive .
I gave you a specific example. One guy published an indicator in Codebase, and another guy sold it hundreds or thousands of times. Same idea, different execution.

Yes just another case then of nefarious activity .Ah yes the code base ! , with half baked ideas or decent attempts someone spent countless hours on ,I then can take it stick it in Claude and  say make this better and sell it , just another  case of my posts in other threads stating coding is dead and paid full crazy price EA 's are dead and the only way these EA's can possibly be best sellers on here are those nefarious activities I speak of .

Codebase is increasingly filled with generated content. So is the market, by the way.

nefarious activities
Playing the victim is a very convenient choice, but it leads to poor prospects. Keep looking for excuses while others are looking for opportunities.

If you continue to play the victim (appeal to pity) on the forum, your comments will be considered self-promotion and deleted.

If you believe someone has violated the market rules, please submit a complaint using the dedicated button or contact the service desk.

I had my prospects,  I have  had my day in the Sun on here and not looking for anything else .

I don't need excuses ,I stated I was happy with what I got . You sound like a zealot,
Look at top sellers on here why would top sellers with these great coders need constant updates and new versions every other week . We all know why !!.
No conspiracy theories needed it stares you in the face .

Hey mate, I’m glad you’re here. So, let’s step back for a moment to the general idea. Is it possible to organize a fair competition between EAs on this platform? Real rules, no hidden engines — and if any exist, they would be revealed very quickly during the competition. Any strategy should be allowed, any lot size, and so on.The whole point is not to judge the top EAs by profit only, but also by lot size, number of transactions, balance drawdown, equity drawdown, and other stability metrics.

I'm just a public forum moderator. Your idea sounds interesting, but I'm not very optimistic about the likelihood of MetaQuotes implementing it.

Requests to re-run the Automated Trading Championship appear periodically on the forum, but unfortunately, so far there has been no result.

I've once again become convinced that salesmanship is no less important than the ability to code your product.

When you talk about salesmanship, I'm curious what your prospect is on selling things here on this market, as you don't seem to be selling something.

I don't know what my prospects are. Right now, I'm just observing from the sidelines and trying to figure out how the successful guys differ from the less successful ones.

I know several successful sellers here (tens of thousands of sales), and I know they don't try any dirty tricks. So, I'm confident that any user can become a top seller if they develop a good product and have the skills to sell it.

Fair enough, and yes there is a whole world of digital marketing and it's worth watching a few lectures in it for any of us who think about selling things. I am not making sales at all here, and I understand it is because my marketing and advertising is at zero. It's not my focus as of now
