What is your Preffered Syle of trading? Swing Day Or Scalping

What is your Preffered Syle of trading?  Swing Day Or Scalping?

What EA would you prefer for developers to make you assuming All of the work and are profitable?

I'll prefer a combination multi time frame EAs.

H4 For tendency and M15 for entries.

For what I have seen they give more stability.

Intraday scalper here, executing on M5/M1.

Maybe somekind of exit optimizator, not really a lot of focus on execution and else, but having something that can take control of when a trade would be optimal to close in profit, BE or else would be the goat, maybe with some AI feature to analyse past performances so it can have data to use for those decisions.

Swing Multiday, I guess you could say. My algorithmic analysis is done on timeless custom symbols/charts, while my trades are algorithmically executed on my broker-dealer's symbols/charts that supply the source data. Sometimes there are multiple trades per day but sometimes there are no trades per week. Definitely not scalping.

I love scalping. I have a simple strategy that i have refined to only spend an hour to 3 a day on trading which has worked out quite well. I trade futures and use a 5 min opening candle break strategy. I'd love to hear about anyone else's strategies.

I would do both.

Swing trade provides the long term prospect of an asset's direction that you strongly believe in.

Meanwhile, intraday and scalping provide the liquidity that many people need while waiting for the swing trades to take profit.

I have no preference.

High Low range breakout of day or session box on 7 pairs + 1 index.

High Low counter fade 1 pair

Reverse channel breakout on 1 pair

Bollinger swing 1 pair

Volatility breakout on 1 index

Looks like a solid set of tools. I'm curious how you manage focus across all these: 7 pairs plus index for breakouts, then a countertrend, a reverse channel, Bollinger swing, and another index for volatility. Doesn't it spread you too thin? Or do you have a specific market condition for each and just wait for the right one?

In my opinion, the style (scalping, day or swing) is less important than how you manage risk.

You can be profitable with any style, but without proper trade management most systems fail.

Personally I focus more on:
- risk control
- break even logic
- partial profit management

Then the strategy (scalp or swing) comes after.

That’s what made the biggest difference for me.

Most traders change strategy, but the real improvement comes from better management.

The robots are always on during trading hours and the time sessions in which they operate.  I don't manually look for specific market conditions,  instead let the market conditions produce a logical signal or not.

The bots determine if the Minimum & Maximum range of a session or pre-session are suitable for their signal during their time of the day to trade.   The index bot did not trade last night's NY session as the market exceeded the bot's Maximum range.

If I had to choose between swing trading, day trading, or scalping, I would definitely go with swing trading.
The main reason is that swing trading allows for more thoughtful and less stressful decision-making. Instead of watching charts every minute like a scalper or spending the entire day trading, swing trading focuses on bigger market moves over several days. This usually means cleaner setups and less market noise, which makes strategies more reliable.
Another big advantage is the risk-to-reward potential. Swing trades often aim for larger price movements, so you don’t need many trades to see good results. It’s more about quality than quantity.
From an automation perspective, swing trading also makes the most sense for an EA. Scalping systems depend heavily on execution speed, spreads, and broker conditions, which can make them unstable in real trading. A swing EA, on the other hand, can work more consistently because it relies on market structure and higher timeframes rather than tiny price movements.
