After updating MT5, it freezes when I try to launch it and does not start properly.
How can I roll back to a previous version?
The market reopens tomorrow, and I’m unable to do anything right now.
The previous version is the final version of 2025. I have a backup if you need it...
Yes, I'm having the same problem with magic keys, and others, generally everything lags badly after the new update, for instance stretching the chart (with the mouse down and up (on M1 it cannot be stretched at all), and the colors are messed up. Switching chart windows lags a lot.. Also on new 5572, the same issues.
I downgraded to build 5430 found on this page 1 and now it works like it used to without any freezing or glitching when attaching magic keys to the chart.
You need to provide technical details if you wish to report a bug. Your messages are too vague for us to be able to make any use of them.

The platform is lagging badly and frequently freezing. Significant lag when switching charts or timeframes. Chart interaction (mouse drag / scaling) often freezes the platform. Platform becomes temporarily unresponsive during normal use. And Magic keys won't work at all.
I already asked technical details HOW to reproduce the problems. You need to understand that not everyone has these issues, so we need to know what is your setup, what you are doing, to be able to reproduce the problems and fixed them.

Setup
Host OS: macOS
Virtualization: Parallels Desktop
Guest OS: Windows
Platform: MetaTrader 5 (latest build)
Account: The5ers MT5
Timeframes mainly used: M1
EA: Magic Keys (latest version)
Reproduction steps and observed behavior
MT5 startup
Launch MT5.
MT5 takes several minutes to fully load and become usable.
Switching timeframes
Open a chart and switch between timeframes.
Switching timeframes (especially to/from M1) takes more than 5 seconds.
On M1:
Chart is extremely laggy.
Vertical chart scaling using mouse click-and-drag does not respond at all.
Switching charts / symbols
Switch between different charts or trading pairs.
Each switch takes more than 10 seconds.
MT5 frequently becomes temporarily unresponsive during this process.
Magic Keys behavior
Attach Magic Keys to a chart.
Magic Keys takes several minutes to load.
Once loaded, the panel is largely unresponsive.
Clicking OPEN CALC freezes the entire MT5 platform.
MT5 then freezes for few minutes.
Expected behavior
Normal MT5 startup time.
Responsive chart switching and timeframe changes.
Functional vertical chart scaling on M1.
Magic Keys loading normally and responding to button clicks without freezing or crashing MT5.
These issues did not occur before recent MT5 updates. Now is extremely slow and lagging.
