MT5 performing poorly after the update - page 7

The problem described there has most likely already been fixed in beta build 5574.
I do not need a damn beta build. I am not messing around with beta builds on machines where money is involved. I need a stable release that is thoroughly tested before release. Is inadmissible that using a damn courier font type in an EA mess with the platform.

Hi I'm using a Mac and everything is completely frozen. Do you have any tips how to install the Beta version you mentioned?

Try restarting MT5 somehow or restarting your computer. I'm on Windows, so I don't know how to do this on a Mac.

Ok, I managed to do it and it works again!

For those on a Mac: my MT5 was completely frozen. Here's what I did:

Closed all applications and opened mt5 and waited for everything to open (which took at least 5 minutes). Then clicked on help waited for another 5 minutes for it to respond; moved the cursor to check for updates and waited again and finally clicked on the beta update.

All in all took me at least 40 minutes or so but in the end I managed to update the Beta version which solved it for me.

Most important just click once every time and wait for it to respond (even if it takes forever, it's not frozen what I initially thought but its lagging and lagging for a veryyyy long time)

That's why I have one profile empty with no charts, and one profile with just one chart with my template and indicators.

Before updating switch to the empty profile, your MT5 will start without loading any charts and should be responsive, then switch to profile with one chart to test if your template and indicators work without issues. And only then, if everything works, switch to your default profile you work with.
