MT4 and mql5 web site in Windows11 totally screwed

I can't make brokers mt4 default app in windows11. It always picks mt4 broker that i deleted long time ago. Also, I can't login to mql5 community from mt4, so can't download any indicator etc. Furthermore, in experts on terminal window in meta trader4 it endlessly rolls message 'cant open file#-WAE indicator that I dont have installed at all. And that's all happening with 2 meta traders 4 i.e.with two brokers. Also, in any browser(firefox,chrome,edge) except Tor, layout or html of the mql5 site is broken. I research online, but couldnt find any results.
 

I have Windows 11 laptop, and everything is working with not a problem at all.

It may be because of the following:  Microsoft Edge Webview2 and/or TLS 1.2 should be installed on your computer.

Why default?
Metatrader instances are working separatedlyy from each other; and installation of the Market products are not made from website/webpage - it is made directlt from Metatrader instance. So, it does not matter about which one is default one.

We cleared the cache, tried 3 different browsers (chrome, firefox & edge) i have no pop-up blockers we removed firewalls even. I was just helping someone else with this same issue (website appearing as text only, affecting a specific pc but not other devices on the same internet connection) on another thread

Thank you for your fast and thorough response! It was related to host file indeed, specifically to the 'unchecky' program which is usually useful, but it blocked mt4 entries in host file, so I deleted all its entries, also a program, and replaced host file with default. I could now login to community's, indicators appeared again in terminal window on mt4, mql5 web layout fixed.

I'm not sure what you're saying about default instances, however I deleted old key and terminal.exe (icon) now appears as default for ex4 files.

Thank you for the mention of Unchecky.  I have used that program in the past and remembered that it made alterations to the HOSTS file.  I was hoping we finally had a lead on this issue.  However, I installed it again (just to analyze what it does) and it does not appear to adversely affect MQL5 in any way (if it did, I was going to contact them with information on the offending entries, what they block and why they should be removed).  It doesn't add much to the HOSTS file, and to my knowledge, none of its entries are MetaQuotes domains:

I would say feel free to reinstall Unchecky; it does not appear to have anything to do with this issue besides its coincidental modification of the HOSTS file.  With it installed right now, I am not having any issues with the MQL5 website or software (and HOSTS file modifications take effect immediately).
