There's a better way, throw a few kilos of carbide in the latrine. The general usually goes to the latrine with a cigarette in his mouth.
Dima, he's a spy! Generals only go to the latrine with a cigar!

I keep thinking, Renat Metakvotovich comes here sometimes, reads, and not only this topic, in general. This forum is such a laughing stock.

It's not jokes, it's, like, humour. Renat hardly visits this thread. His household is hectic:)
Fuses won't let them burn out.
And how many times a day will the rascal have the patience to change the fuses?
The diode bridge was the one I liked the most out of these cautionary little mishaps. If you live in a dormitory and the socket is through. If your neighbour is always playing music loudly, you remove his socket, disconnect the contacts going to his socket, connect the diode bridge to the phase, and voila - he has 220 volts DC voltage going to his house. Heating appliances like a coil-containing iron will work as they did. But a tape recorder will burn out - any appliance that requires strictly alternating current will burn out.
It will be different and not at all as dramatic.
And how many times a day does the rascal have the patience to change the fuses?
The fuses will be fine. The thing about boomboxes is that they have an AC motor - that's where the winding will burn out.
Why would it do that?
