We are still optimistic about the Russian stock market. The stock market is cautiously optimistic. We recommend to hold the longs. At the same time, the MICEX and RTS Indices are making their previous highs and many investors understandably want not only to sell out their existing securities but also to open "shorts". For our part we would like to warn that no conditions for a strong fall on the market have formed so far, and the growth by means of "short-term outflows" may lift the quotations to even higher levels.
Tonight again we expect important statistics from USA. This time it will be inflation (16.30 MSK), net capital inflows (17.00 MSK) and the industrial production index(17.15 MSK). The latter figures (forecast of +0.6% in August) seem to be the most important. And they are the ones that market participants will be focusing on first. If strong retail sales data is followed by similarly encouraging industrial production data, the markets will once again be energised to continue their rally.
