About an hour ago the terminal said "crack" and said no connection.
I've been waiting for about 20 minutes for it to connect - nothing.
I close terminal and restart it- still connected.

Confirmed. From time to time - say, once in 2 weeks, connection is lost (account 299122), and it's gone until you do "rescan servers".

The terminal automatically reconnects and rescan the servers. We are looking for connection problems, we can't simulate the situation at the moment.

Today we have found a bug that prevents rescanning in some situations with multiple access points. Already fixed it and we will try to release build 199 tomorrow.

The connection went down again today and didn't come back until I did a rescan.
Metatrader stops receiving quotes, although Metatrader does not even notice that there is no connection to the broker's server. Time in the Metatrader terminal is stopped and quotes are not received, but the connection icon shows there is a connection.

Quotes just stop changing! As if the market has frozen! But after refreshing the chart, the quote on this chart changes! All other charts (symbols) remain unchanged!

They did dig the problem :-).
A word or two about how it can be reproduced.
Firewall ZoneAlarm is installed on the computer.
A terminal is started, we look for the connection icon and it's OK.
Then we go to ZoneAlaram and say Engage Internet Lock.
Of course server to terminal data is cut off.
But terminal thinks it's OK, I think
it can hold this status for infinite time,
and keeps the same icon "connection present, everything is OK" -
that's actually the error.
Next, we go back into ZoneAlarm. Then again go into zoneAlarm and release Engage Internet Lock.
Already this event can be triggered by terminal
(probably, data centre unilaterally breaks connection
when there is no response).
Therefore terminal says "no connection" and immediately goes to data centre.
There are of course solutions to get away from this problem.

Please download the new MetaTrader 4 build 222 client terminal from March 17 and try to reproduce the problem.

I have personally reproduced it on three machines under different OS versions using the jartmailru method and not only with ZoneAlarm....
