When is the new version of MT5 and where do you find out what's expected in it? - page 2

Renat Fatkhullin:
Already available
Yay, it's here! How cool is this! Looking at the tester and can't get enough of it!!! Thank you so much!!!

Renat Fatkhullin:

The only thing new in the whole build is the"Every tick based on real ticks" mode in the tester. Cool for MOEX!

But for forex, I need what you said earlier about custom feeds.

On Alpari, ticks have just recently started to be collected in MT5. The possibility to "complete" them yourself would be nice.

Picked a test from the beginning of March. File 201603.tkc ~ 18Mb.

From beginning of February same file ~ 23Mb. Also appeared 201602.tkc ~ 16Mb.

Why does the number of historical ticks in the base for March depend on the choice of test interval?

Core 1  EURUSD,H1: 9618593 ticks (792 bars) generated in 0:00:12.496 (total bars in history 7489, total time 0:00:12.527)
Testing at the weekend (today is Saturday). Is it possible not to spend so much time each time generating the same thing? Or can't the local agents architecturally do that?

Is a tick chart planned? The visualisation on M1, when there are a lot of trades in the bar on real ticks, looks "not good".

Put in a test from NG. March tkc still increased (~31Mb).

Could you provide a benchmark of the MOEX MT5 vs other competitive solutions? And make an appropriate statement on the smartlab...

This is a provisional beta version to be tested in the forum.

It is too early to make any statements yet, we still need to work out how to easily bring the historical symbol databases on the brokers' servers to a near-perfect state.

The change you found is not that big and important. Try opening a demo account and see what is offered.

You can now run hedge accounts in MT5 on a par with netting accounts. The platform has become hybrid and it no longer makes sense to stay on MT4.

Do the hedge accounts have to be supported by the broker's MT5 server? Or will it become possible to connect the old MT4 accounts?

"Use hedging when trading"!

Yes, I don't see the point in staying on MT4 for traders and brokers (don't know the costas issue) if things become the same as on MT4. And that's the magics for each of the positions, including one way. SL/TP levels for each of the positions.

I would like to understand what is in beta to run-in.
