The copied text is automatically pasted into the "Find" field. Therefore, if you copy with Ctrl-C, it is more convenient to search and replace with Ctrl+H.
PS There's also the clipboard, Alt-V, (Edit Menu).

In fact, it is even more convenient. It is not copied but marked text that is substituted in the search field. So if the substituted text is already typed in the editor, it can be copied to the clipboard, and the substituted text simply marked. Then after you press Ctrl+H in the search field will be substituted text, and the substituted (Ctrl+V) can be pasted from the clipboard in the [replace with:] field.
If you have any questions. ;)
In fact, it's even more convenient. It is not the copied but the marked text that is placed in the search field, so if you have already typed the replacement text in the editor, you can copy it to the buffer and just mark the text you want to replace. Then after you press Ctrl+H the replacement text will be placed in the search field, while you can paste the replacement text (Ctrl+V) from the buffer.
Donate if you need. ;)
