Is there a profitable EA on mql or are they all scams? - page 4

They are all scam.

Some EA can be profitable for short period of time but in long run they all fail. it simple, if someone can really make tons of money with strategy/EA why sell orders, instead make lot of money with it.

It always best build your own profitable strategy and then hire someone to code it.

I don't use EAs; I use my own strategy, but I disagree with what you wrote. If we look at the results of signal providers who use EAs, we can see that they achieve excellent results over the long term.

Apparently, these EA systems have been refined enough to now generate handsome profits over the long term.

I agree. Most EAs in the market are trash but look at the signals section. A lot of people there are profitable. So you know that there are strategies that are working well.

It's just that some strategies work well only with manual trading, while others work better with algorithmic trading. Not all manual strategies can be transferred to automated trading.

Just don't buy any EA that includes Martingale/grid/recovery trading it's that easy. Make sure also they have a live signal. Check if the live signal matches the backtest.

That may guarantees it's not a scam, but not that it's profitable.

I agree,  some strategies are too hard to automate,  some others only work beyond the 4 hour chart,  while all customers are looking for high frequency trading.

Luke Perrett:

Hello wondering if there is a profitable EA on the MQL market or have they all got a alternative motive.

I mean lets face it, if someone had a EA that was profitable, why would they sell it.

Very basic discussion but funny enough it may raise some concerns.

I have had many EA's from over a period of 5-6 years and if I go back in the account and click on them they are no longer available and nor is the author.

This can only mean 1 of 2 things.

1-They were profitable and the Author took them down and run off with there millions of $

2-They were not profitable and the Author is now nowhere to be seen.

Same questions can be raised for signals as well.

Keen to hear any thoughts of others.

Have a great day.

Profitable EAs do exist. The problem is that 95% of the MQL5 market isn't selling strategies they're selling dreams.

A real edge is usually traded privately, funded, or licensed for serious money. Nobody making millions consistently is rushing to sell unlimited copies for $299.

Most EAs disappear because the strategy dies, brokers adapt, market conditions change, or the developer simply moves on after collecting enough sales.

The few profitable EAs that survive usually have one thing in common: realistic returns, controlled drawdown, and years of verified history. The ones promising 30% a month with a 95% win rate almost always end the same way.

MQL5 isn't a scam. The thing is: the marketplace is flooded with products built to sell well rather than trade well. The hard part isn't finding an EA. It's finding a developer who makes more money trading than marketing.

Plus this topic has been discussed already over and over..

The discussion revolves around the rationale behind selling profitable Expert Advisors (EAs) on the MT5 market. It highlights that while some developers sell their EAs to build capital, others may do so for various reasons, including the need for substantial initial funds. The text emphasizes the importance of verified performance, realistic expectations, and the distinction between automation tools and money-printing machines. It also addresses the skepticism surrounding EA sales and the value of proven, long-term profitability over short-term gains.

The commercial EA market presents an asymmetry between marketing and actual performance, often caused by excessive historical data optimization. A sustainable solution involves in-house development, ensuring full control over algorithmic logic and execution reliability.
