Monthly TOP is just one of the alternative ideas we are considering. It's not necessarily how we will do it at all.
Thanks to everyone who has made suggestions, we will take them into consideration. If anyone has any other suggestions, we'd love to hear them.
I agree. It's a topic as old as time. But it's still there... Professionals do not come here because of unhealthy competition in the incorrectly organised TOP and, accordingly, the difficulty of being selected as a performer for a price adequate to his qualifications, and the speed shooters, and those who knock down prices - are they professionals?
I suggested raising the minimum price for scripts, indicators, Expert Advisors and other software products a long time ago. Nothing has changed. The minimum price in my opinion should be from 30 - 50 credits in the service.
Man, an electrician charges a minimum of 500 rubles for "screw in a socket".
And the programmer does not get out of his chair for 350 rubles).
Incorrectly organised top - it is cool to say it is organised by the number of completed works. Of course, you can put filters on other parameters, but no one is able to assess the quality of the programme and complexity of tasks, so everything is relative.
An electrician's job is more complicated)
Are you sure that screwing two wires together with a screwdriver is more difficult than making logic and translating it into a working programme?
And why do executors think that work should be easy, without competitors and for a lot of money?
After all, this is a custom development service in the "do me who-knows-what" mode, and the associated problems of customer <-> implementer relationships are absolutely understandable and unhistorical even theoretically. That is, criticism of this point has no sense. And we have done a lot to solve the relationship problems from the very beginning through a detailed work process, freezing amounts and arbitration.
The problem of dumping exists and something should be done about it.
It's not our fault, of course, as prices are regulated by real supply and demand in the auction model without any third-party pressure. The lower limit of 10 dollars is very small, but judging by the statistics of the top freelance performers, we can see that the average cost is from 42 to 120 dollars. That is, the market formation of the price works.
Most likely, it is already possible to set the minimum price of orders in 20 dollars.
But here we must understand that the world is large and there are a huge number of countries where incomes are much lower and prices from 10 dollars - it is not so little. For example, Russian developers do not always realise that in reality their incomes are higher than the vast majority of countries in the world.

Why do we need to make some restrictions on the price? On the basis of what considerations?
Don't confuse "Service Statistics" and "Top".
If some performer wants to do a job for $1, let him do it - it's his right and his choice.
But why should the TOP include such work?
We should first decide what the TOP reflects -- if it's"Level of competence", that's one thing -- and if it's"Number of completed jobs", that's another.
Now TOP reflects "Number of worksperformed" -- not"performed", but"performed". Those who have been working with the service for a long time know this.
But the customer doesn't know it. A customer reads "Service of professional developers" and "TOP developers". And understands TOP as "competence level".
It's simple -- you have to give clear definitions and answer a series of questions, such as:
-- can a job "done" in 48 seconds -- statistically -- be considered a job that reflects a level of competence and is counted in the "average speed of job completion" indicator
-- can a "Bonus" job be considered a completed job or is it more of a "Feedback" job?
-- can the work "payment for rates" be considered as work, and such work is included in the service statistics.
-- can a job that looks like "dsbcksdbcdwjeroewmf why write 30 words, who invented this" be considered a job
-- etc.
Once this is sorted out -- you can already draw conclusions about how to deal with dumping and other problems. What is the reason for dumping? To get to the top or to get the job done at any price.
