Discussion of article "Visual strategy builder. Creating trading robots without programming" - page 3

Aleksey Vyazmikin:

So if it was a free product, albeit closed source, but the 500 c.u. price tag clearly doesn't speak to the common good, or does it mean that the users are behind the brackets?

I'm not against promotional articles in general, but it needs rules.

There is nothing wrong with it, if the constructor, conceived and implemented by MQ in the MQL wizard, will get a new development, a new graphical life and will be tested and brought to life in a paid product. If it is in demand and proves to be favourable, then it makes sense to integrate this product into MT5 in the future.
Even if there is some "collusion", it would be more correct to call it an agreement. What crime?
Of course, neither you nor I will buy it, because it is not created for us. I will tell you more, it is not even created for the Russian-speaking audience.
Visit Andrei's page and you will see that he has a fantastic experience in freelancing and was earning quite good money on it until the end of 2015. I can assume that from that time he got sick of this megaproject and in less than three years brought it to the final product. Honour and kudos to him for that.
We all benefit from this. If I spend my time and creativity on MQL programming, I am interested in the development of this platform. And it will be a personal tragedy for me if in the future this platform gets lost among the others.
I also hope to create some kind of interactive trend in this community of programmers. Personally, I've been talking about this for a while now. So far I see a big lag in this area.
Of course my vision is very different from this implementation, but still it is something.
I do not even want to discuss the usefulness and practicality of this product. The main thing is the trend.

Aleksey Vyazmikin:

However, I am confused, there is no code at the end of the article, or in the article itself, which means it is an advertisement for the product. What, now you can write articles about your product and they will be published, or is this a behind-the-scenes arrangement for a select few?

Thanks for your interest in the topic!

I couldn't find any rules for the Articles section on this resource. It just says "write an article and if we are interested in it we will publish it". That's exactly what I did.

The free versions are fully usable, just less convenient than the full versions.

If you need the code, try to generate the code of the scheme of one of the templates and study it. Maybe you will find something useful. For example, the trade class is made as a static class and can be used separately from the rest of the code.

Sergey Savinkin:
Even complex Expert Advisors created by professional programmers mostly generate only losses. I don't believe that a beginner will be able to make something worthwhile by dragging and dropping squares. Besides, there are always exceptional situations in the market, in which an Expert Advisor should behave differently. Trade at a certain time, do not take into account unreasonable quote jumps in the form of "tails", ignore some candlestick combinations, etc. All this requires programming. And without it leads to additional, unjustified losses.
I have experience in developing Expert Advisors to order. This experience says that when a person has just come to the markets, he does not come up with a complex system at once, but starts with simpler ideas.

They can be easily designed with the help of this project and gain experience. I.e. you can quickly understand weaknesses and test a lot of ideas, understand what can work and what can't and advance in understanding popular strategies.

This is a tool for initial independent market research.

When a strategy is developed, no one prevents you from ordering its implementation to a live person if necessary.

Aleksey Vyazmikin:

but the ready-made EA is already a bit twisted - it requires the possibility of building with scrolling down or sideways.

Could you please explain what you mean?

then claims on your account is human envy! )))

great product, great article!

I am two hands in favour - for this kind of promotion of a quality product in the Market: made a product, made an honest advertisement in the form of a detailed article with functionality

I put it to see the codes that are generated

didn't like that there is no wheel scrolling, you have to play forgot what the name of the game where you drag right-left a small board)

I think a lot of work has been done

if anyone wants to put to see the generated code - do not put, it is not readable under 10000 lines, spaces and empty comments for 9 thousand of them, apparently so designed, nothing interesting to the coder will not give (as positioned).

and so - cool!

Fast528:

it's unreadable and won't give coders anything interesting.

It is hard to agree with this.

In terms of readability, the generated code will overpower many codes written manually (though the very notion of "readability" is very subjective and a matter of habit).

And you can find interesting things if you wish.

I will think about scrolling with the mouse wheel. Not everything is so unambiguous in implementation there.

Thank you!

I had already corrected the nuances before your reply,

Anyway, I like it.

about readability, 10 thousand lines for a programmer to learn) 9 thousand spaces there.

You can write everything in one line, without spaces :)
But I don't think it will get any easier

Great stuff!

I noticed this builder before it even came out in the market. I am very impressed with the work that has been done. I finally saw a new level of product. A level that everyone should aspire to.

I appreciated this "mashup", but was concerned that the product was on a little-visited page of the market and could remain there almost unnoticed. In addition, there were no tutorials. All this led to sad thoughts about the future fate of the product.

The fact that the company decided to publish this article is a great decision. Such things need to be promoted. Maybe others will be more motivated to do something serious. That's how we will develop.

I want to do the same thing. Distribute for free and publish training articles. If the company allows it.

I sincerely wish you further success!
