A good broker is... no dealing desk, ECN, tight spreads+reasonable commissions. Anything else is a waste of time. Scalping also has to be the least interesting way of making money as a trader but not if you are the broker. Probably more retail traders wipe out their accounts thinking that they can be profitable in the long term by scalping. Specialist scalpers do exist and those that are good are usually terrific at it but that does not apply to the vast majority of traders.
